I am a long time user of another tanner from a company that changed their formula without telling me and then made no apologies when it did not work as well as it has for years. I bought this one based on reviews and I am very happy with the performance. My satisfaction started the day after the sale when I got an email from the owner with a guide for product use which was very helpful. I am a very light skinned guy who does not get a lot of time in the sun wearing shorts. I don't need a "golden tan", but I do want enough color on my legs so that I don't look like I just climbed out of a dark cavern. I tried the Golden Star right away the first night. I used a liquid proof tanning applicator mitt and sprayed the product onto the mitt before applying to my legs. I applied to the tops of my feet, all the way up my legs. As instructed, I went light on the heels and knees. The stuff went on smoothly and smelled great. I waited a bit before putting on my jeans and it was a couple of hours before I went to bed. My legs were not greasy or sticky and they started to tan right away. The next morning it looked nice and even and after showering, I applied a second coat. That made my legs darker and very naturally colored as if I had been in the sun for hours. My legs feel nice and smooth and no bad tanning odor. I will likely skip a day or two to see how well it stands up, buy my wife thought the color looked natural and not as if I had applied self tanner. Mission Accomplished. This one is definite winner and 25% less expensive that the tanning mousse with the changed formula that used to be my favorite product.

I was so excited to try this dry oil tanner! I have never used anything like it and was apprehensive at first, but it is my new favorite tanner that I have been recommending to everyone! I love that it is a dry oil because it spreads easily and a little bit goes a long way. The application through a spray container is so much cleaner than the mousses that I was using previously, and there is a lot less product waste. The smell is also so much better than other tanners, it smells like brown sugar or vanilla and not so chemically and disgusting. The biggest pro is that I have not had any issues with transfer with this tanner. My husband bought us a brand new mattress and white sheet set. I applied this tanner to my entire body right before bed, and when I woke up there wasn't any tanner on the sheets at all. With other mousse formulas, there would be some transfer to clothes or sheets, which would ultimately come out in the wash but I hated that it would do that. To apply this tanner, I've been using a mitt just so I don't have to worry about accidentally tanning my palms, but You could absolutely use your hands or just the rubber glove that comes with it. I typically apply this right before bed so I can let it set on my skin as long as possible for the best results. I love that the color is really realistic and it even just fades away like a real tan instead of flaking off or looking patchy. I definitely prefer this dry oil over any other type of tanner. I have used so many different foaming mousse formulas and there is always an issue where they get on my sheets or flake off or the color is wrong. I have been recommending this product to everyone since I was able to first try it, and I will continue to use it as my new favorite tanner. The fact that the company is also conscious of the environment and providing products for sensitive skin types is also something that I am impressed with and happy to support.

This is probably the best self-tanner I've used! While there is definitely still a smell to it, it is significantly less potent than any other self-tanner I've tried out (and I've tried out a bunch of them). At first you don't smell it at all, but as your skin warms up and absorbs the serum, it does start to emit a faint self-tanner smell. It is slightly sticky on my skin, but again, way less sticky than other self-tanners and it does not rub off at all if you leave the full 10 minutes of dry time after you apply it. I usually just stand in front of my fan for the 10 minutes and I'm good to put on my pajamas and go to bed. I have white bedsheets and have never had the serum rub off on them at all. The application process is SUPER easy: the serum sprays on and covers a large area that you can easily spread out with a self-tanner mitt. Because it is a spray and not a lotion, the application process is way faster. The color itself develops quickly and turns into a beautiful golden tan within 24 hours. The more 'layers' you put on, the deeper and more rich the color becomes. I really like this self-tanner and I probably won't buy any other brand in the future!

This self-tanning body oil is exactly what I’ve been looking for. I love that it is cruelty-free and made from natural organic ingredients. It has a divine smell, rather than that fake chemical smell. I made sure to exfoliate in the shower prior to using it, and the application was effortless - I HIGHLY suggest reading the e-book they send you on the email after you make a purchase. The consistency of the oil makes it very easy to lather and spread evenly into my skin! This is an oil that goes on without an oily feeling and it doesn't show up orange or blotchy. I use it together with their tan extender and gosh, I promise, it is the best possible combination! My tan lasts way longer, I also have a very sensitive skin and neither the body oil or tan extender irritate my skin, but they make my skin so smooth and soft. I am definitely a customer for life. All my friends are asking me if I was on vacation! I CAN'T wait to try the face serum, a friend of mine can't stop talking about it!! This is definitely the best self-tanning product I've ever used and I will definitely be ordering more. Guess what all my friends and family are getting for their birthdays :) Photo is attached. I’ve been using the sunless tanning oil. Haven’t tried the lotion yet. But the oil is pretty amazing. I’ve tried a couple dozen of sunless tanners in my lifetime and this one is the best. The best smelling product of anything I’ve owned, including fragranced lotions from Bath & Body Works and the likes. Pretty amazing that they were able to make a sunless tanner smell so good. The most important thing, though, is the color and how well the sunless tanning oil works, and this works EXTREMELY WELL. doesn’t look orangey, blends well with my natural skin tone (I have a reddish tint to my skin and you can still see the reddish tint when I have this tanning oil on—yet I’m much tanner). Doesn’t seem to rub off is obvious ways when I sweat a lot. And I sweat A LOT. Always worry that streaks off it will be going down my legs or arms or wherever but haven’t noticed anything yet. A little to moderate amount does come off each time I shower, but there are ways to prevent much from coming off, like not standing in front of the stream of water the entire time in shower and not rubbing with the towel after you get out—instead just blot or pat yourself dry with towel. Doesn’t seem to stream either, which is awesome since you can’t see where you’re applying the oil. Must wash hands very thoroughly after applying or it will stain your hands. My only wish to make product better is for it to start showing up sooner after application. Even an instant glow right after applying would be nice. Right now it takes a couple of hours to start showing up, so I mainly just apply it at night before I go to bed.

After reading all the reviews there was no way I wouldn't like it too, or so I thought. First off it does smell great, no fake tan smell to it at all. So that gets 5 stars in my book. However it doesn't spray on rt, it squirts in a straight stream so doesn't apply evenly at all. So I figured maybe if I just get a new spray bottle it would be ok, no biggie. After applying, I couldn't tell if I applied it evenly or not but I guess that's not that big of a deal since the color never showed up. Really disappointed in this, especially for how much it costs. It does feel great on this skin tho, with the hyaluronic acid just wish it showed more color and went on evenly Update: I mainly use this on my face. It helps my face glow and doesn't streak bad at all. Every bottle I buy the sprayer breaks after a few weeks so I bought a glass bottle and I just transfer the oil into that. Better sprayer and doesn't break. Overall I'm pleased with this mainly cause it makes my skin so soft but they could improve on the quality of the bottle and sprayer Update: this is a love/hate relationship. I've noticed that this tanner is aging me really fast so I started looking into dha and this one does have that toxic ingredient which ages skin and kills your kidneys. When I apply this to my face, it reduces swelling and gives me a beautiful glow which I love, but it only lasts a day so then I find myself applying it everyday just to get that temporary glow. Which is aging me faster 😩 also I noticed I started getting extremely nauseous after applying this, which means my kidneys dont like it anymore. Like I said, its a love/hate relationship. I want to keep using this stuff but unless they change the dha to a natural derived one, it's time to say goodbye to this beautiful but toxic self tanner.

As stated in the title, I was gifted this product as part of their ambassador program, but I still plan to be fully transparent. I have never been good at self tanners, but I’ve also never really cared to learn. This wasn’t some magic cure to my user issues, I had a lot of splotches and unevenness in the beginning. But I stuck with it and was able to figure out, using their helpful instructions and trial+error, how to make this look good on my skin. And I ended up really loving it. This is just a solidly good self tanner that is also cruelty free, organic, paraben free, and vegan, which is very hard to find. I only buy cruelty free and there isn’t a lot of options, so I’m glad I found this product. It doesn’t make me look orange or super dark, it actually looks pretty natural while just giving me a warmer toned, glowy, tanner than usual vibe. The smell when applying it is different than other self tanners, more like some kind of candy, but it does have the classic self tanner smell the day after you apply it before you shower. Not a huge fan of that, but it’s something that all self tanners have. It also comes out in a squirt which can be messy if you’re not prepared for that. I used gloves and squirted it into my hand first. The gloves definitely made streakiness easier, I plan to get the mitt as I’ve heard it makes it easier to apply. All in all, I really like this product and I would buy it with my own money.

NO STREAKS, NO CHEMICALS and AN AMAZING GOLDEN GLOW!!! The best self tanner I have ever used. It looks completely natural, and once you get the desired tan you do not need to use the product for several days. I only use it two times a week. Like most self tanning junkies I've tried them all. Saw this and was interested in the organic ingredients and after reading the very positive reviews decided to give it a try - I love it! It has a very slight pleasant fragrance, the bottle is a generous size for the money, it goes on smoothly. I was a bit concerned that it does not have the brown color to it like the ones I've been using before but there was no streaking and I love the tan color after two applications. Best of all the color really did stay for a few days and did not wash off in the shower like so many do. Also got a very nice email from GOLDEN STAR BEAUTY thanking me for trying the product and offering any assistance I might need. So glad I gave it a try...
