please some one help me i try get this for my hummer but i don't understand this notes: valve only, use together with 12579283 bracket what is this

Also I purchased this part for my 2009 Chevy Silverado 1500 LTZ not my Hummer. I've purchased many parts for both of these over the years. I haven't cross referenced parts/#s on the Hummer vs this part but if the purge valve above is a replacement part on the Hummer then the bracket would of course also fit but like I said and I noticed another person or two also said you shouldn't need to order the bracket also and replace the bracket unless it was broken or you broke it when replacing.

What if the part does not fit?

Carefully place it back into it's original packaging and send it back for the right one...

My 2006 cobalt ss is dying right after i tie it on when i put gas i was told by a mechanic this will do the trick so that it would no longer shut off

My vehicle was showing a code that stated to change this part. It fit and worked perfectly. Code gone and smog test was passed.
