My Family's Changing: A First Look at Family Break up

This book is probably better for the parents than the child. It puts responsibilities on the child that should really not be put into them such as being more helpful because a single parent now has more responsibilities and needs help, or telling parent to not speak ill of the other parent or to not buy gifts for the child’s affection. This is not a child’s responsibility. I would much rather a book that teaches my child to deal with living in two houses and know that both parents love him/her no matter what. As well as that his/her feelings are normal. The child needs to learn to live with a new “normal”, not teach his parents how to behave or take on extra responsibilities to help the adult. I do not like this book.

Really helped both my children, we read it once a week and they always have different questions. This book has been really helpful during the separation

Book arrived in good condition and within estimated delivery time. Very up-to-date topic, have used with different children, good tool to help them explore their situation and feelings.
