Badlands Monster Fanny Pack with Fold Down Workstation

Awesome pack
This is an awesome product that is well thought out. It is comfortable and rides correctly on your shoulders and back. It is quiet and all the park pockets are easy to access. The only two things that I dislike are the two small pockets on the back. They take up a lot of real estate but serve very little purpose. They are too small to fit anything other than very small items like car keys. The other thing is that if you wear this pack with a leather belt on your pants it Squeaks so bad it will drive you crazy. Every step you take it will squeak and you will end up having to take your belt off And throw it off a cliff. It literally sounded like I was being followed by a flock of guennie hens through the woods.

Best fanny pack I've owned
I lost track of how many backpacks, fanny packs and in between i have owned over the years, sometimes I switched to a different style not because they were not good, but because my needs changed, (type of hunt, terrain, etc ) I'm mentioning this to make my point, I have owned very good quality backpacks and i can certainly say that this is the best I've owned. When it comes to hunting or any outdoors activity there is no perfect item, you always have to compromise something, this fanny pack has many features that places it as a very good choice. Best of all is how comfortable is, the weight is distributed in a way that gives you the feeling you are carrying much less, fits great on your back, zippers are quite and seems very sturdy, waterproof is a plus (one of the main reasons i bought it), it has a mesh compartment so you could place a water reservoir, but i'm not a fan of those, i placed my water bottle and it worked perfect. Based on my experience I highly recommend this product.

Fits taller people.
I am over 6'4" and the packs adjustment can go taller than that. It makes the pack fit comfortably all day long.

There's whole lot to like, but not for me.
In all fairness the Badlands Monster, for what it is, is probably the best I've ever seen. It's seriously well-built, infinitely adjustable, comfortable to wear, and holds a lot of gear. I really like the ability to switch the weight from hips to shoulders, and to add a hydration bladder. Unfortunately, for how I'd use it there are two deal breakers -- the zippers are finicky and I have to take it off to get at anything. When I say the zippers are finicky, I mean particularly those on the hip belt's side pockets. After I loaded up the pack with everything I'd carry in it and put it on, I unzipped the side pockets to get at what was in them with no problem. unfortunately when I tried to zip them closed I found it impossible to do with one hand. I experimented with redistributing what was in the pockets and even removing some of the items I'd normally carry in them, but neither made any difference. In order to zip the pockets closed I needed to take off the pack and use two hands. And the smaller pockets between the side pockets and the rear compartment are inaccessible unless you take the pack off. So, sadly, I'm returning it because I already have a Badlands day pack and I don't see that the Monster serves any purpose that it doesn't. Again, I'm enormously impressed with the quality of Badlands gear and I highly recommend it, but the Monster doesn't work for me.

quality of the product
The Price is a bit more than I expected to pay, but the quality is what you pay for!!just bought it to replace a previous pack. the monster is just a bit smaller, but is equipped with a H2o compartment. A plus. I cant wait to use it this coming hunting season 2022 I will follow as I use the pack.So far very happy.
