Tom Hardy: Rise of a Legend

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this well written biography. It touches a bit on his upbringing and personal life, but mostly focuses on his approach to the work. More specifically the first 12 years of his career up until 2012. He's been a busy boy since then, so there's always hope for a second book.

This is a very good compilation of all things Hardy. I strongly recommend it for those just now discovering the man's talent--and some good pix of eye candy! However, the two reviewers who criticized this book are probably fans of a few years back, and, to us, the info is not new. I bought it anyway. For newer fans you will find details of his personal life, his filmography (and awards), and exerpts from some good interviews. I think you'll enjoy This introduction to the man, the musician, the actor (stage and screen) and director. By now, the info is missing more current work but it's still a good summary.

MY MAIN MAN!!! I mean, come on: LEGEND, THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, DROP, THE TAKE, CHILD 44,LOCKE, BRONSON, THE REVENANT, et.al..... his life story is just as compelling as his talent!!!

Not too in-depth, but I still enjoyed reading about this extremely talented actor. Had I been the author, I might have succumbed to the Fan Gush too. The progress of his career was very well represented and I was carried along by it.

this book was a gift for a friend who is a Tom Hardy fan.

all this info was gleaned from the internet and nothing that I didn't know before. save your money. meh.it was well written and organized. i would have preferred personal interviews to flesh out the story.

Almost finished with the book and have discovered the author wrote another one on Tom Hardy which I will be ordering soon.

This is a great book about my favorite actor. He has so much talent, and shows this in the pictures he chooses. I first discovered him in Wuthering Heights. I was blown away. Watch for his star to rise.

Disappointing read - not well written and repetitive even for a hardy fan.

Couldn't last long worth it

I bought this new and used but it was in perfect condition. No problem at all.
