Q: Do prussic knots work well with this cord? I want to make an adjustable hammock ridgeline

This is an old thread, but with hammock camping on the rise I'd like to add that's EXACTLY what I'm buying this for. My Hummingbird Hammock is maybe my favorite thing out of all my backpacking gear, and their straps are Spectra. I'm sick of having my ridgeline on my face in the morning after it stretches out all night with just a pound or two of gear on it while the hammock stays just where I hung it. Paracord is cheaper, but it's bigger and heavier. Paracord by definition has a 30% stretch, so 6 ft on a 20 ft ridgeline. Spectra is 3%, or around half an inch. If you are camping casually, sure, do para, but if you plan on doing anything serious, an extra $10 is an incredibly cheap investment to have a better experience plus save precious weight and space. I mean, have you priced a quality down sleeping bag lately? :) I would advise researching either how to knot it or how to make a whoopie sling. This stuff will not behave like any other rope you have experience with, and if you insist on making it, yes you will struggle. It's nothing complicated, just a little different approach. YouTube and Reddit will surely guide your way.

Q: Any chance we can get this in a different color?

Sorry. Spectra Fiber is only available in white and it does not hold dyes well.
