I suggest using a funnel to fill the pouches. Make sure you put the twist cap on before you fill the pouch . Clean the bottom of pouches before seal . The pouch seals just like ziploc bags . If there is any juice, food or smoothies on the zipper lock area your pouch will not seal completely . It will leak out of the bottom if there is the slightest part of the pouch not fully closed. Reason for 4 stars- shows you can pour into the pouch not using a funnel( gets a bit messy). And the information about the sealing bottom and having cap on pouch when filling. I bought these to put smoothies in for my elementary age kids. Easy to clean and freeze. I rinse them then load in the top rack of the dishwasher. These freeze great and thaw by morning snack. Easy to hold as well.

I love this refillable food pouch! It's a much better option than constantly buying the single-use apple sauce pouches for my kids—it really adds up. Super easy to fill and wash, and it’s a huge time-saver. Definitely saves money in the long run. Highly recommend!

I ordered two packs of these in March 2024 I have been using them ever since to freeze smoothies for my kids’ lunches. They work fantastically! Even with putting them on the bottom rack of the dishwasher (I wedge them in the silverware basket so they stay open at the bottom), not a single one has failed or ruptured at the Ziploc-style closure or anywhere else. (It’s now April 2026.) Each one holds about 8 ounces, and that is leaving a little room at the top so that you can zip it closed. A frozen pouch of smoothie in my kids’ lunches has been a game changer!

Very hard to clean! I threw one away because I could not get the food out of the seams

I use mine for tube feeds. I love that I can fill them, freeze, pack in a lunchbox or quick thaw in a bowl of warm watar, and connect directly to my PEG tube with a BoLink small cap. Makes for efficient bolus feeds. However, I don’t like the design. They are advertised as having a wide bottom making them easy to fill and clean. Not true. They are so flat and don’t stand up, which makes them difficult to fill. And the supposedly wide bottom is not. I have very tiny hands and I can’t reach in there. My lottle brush doesn’t reach in there very well either - the bottom is barely big enough to get it in, then the curvy shape means it doesn’t get into the nooks well. So the design is a major complaint and the reason for 3 stars. It’s still the best thing for tube feeding though.
