Extra work - no-one wants to do it, parent or child, but it helps in the long run. These tests are brief enough that there isn't too much yapping when we encourage the child to do some, and they are good barometers for progress and knowledge when we're uncertain how the child is performing in school. The tests cover a variety of disciplines from spelling and grammar to basic comprehension, with interesting stories and facts for kids to engage in. It is all presented in a clear and authoritative way and of course has a handy answer section for parents to validate.
