Excellent motor plus exceptional customer service
I have been using my variable speed motor for coffee roasting on my home grill for about 10 months now. It is powerful, I use it 2-3 times per month to turn my 2.5 kg capacity roasting drum at 50-60 rpm for up to 40 minutes at a stretch. The motor is easy to set up, fits standard rotisserie kits, turns both directions and is readily adjustable to different speeds via a simple dial. Even better than the motor itself though is the exceptional customer service provided by the people behind Triptogenia. When I first ordered the wrong motor (totally my fault - I ordered the wrong size attachment for my grill) they had a replacement delivered to me ON THE SAME DAY! Now, 10 months later when I was having trouble with the power delivered to the motor, they responded to my email inquiry with a phone call within hours (on the Sunday before Christmas no less) and my problem was resolved promptly. It is so refreshing to encounter people who truly stand by their product and care about their customers' experience over the long term. My motor is still working great, but I will not hesitate to reorder from Triptogenia when I need a replacement.

Update-Great motor (after problems with Amazon)
My earlier post: "I've returned 2 of these -- the first one just quit after 4, 15min runs with coffee beans. I could manually turn it to restart but it is not trustworthy. The second arrived with a badly bent attachment panel - unusable." Amazon made it time-consuming to process returns. Those motors seemed to have been mishandled. So I went directly to Tritogenia and ordered from them. The motor is great and they have followed up with both email and phone. I put lots of time searching for a variable speed grill motor -- and this one has performed perfectly. I need a speed of around 15-20 rpm to roast coffee. I have a Weber grill and a Weber basket, plus the usual Weber rotisserie. So I just exchange motors whenever I am roasting coffee. They have a 1-year warranty and I hope it lasts longer than that! So far I am pleased.

Arrived damaged.
Looks like a quality product but I will have to try and fix it before I can use it. The mounting plate is bent and the shaft is rubbing against the plate so bad that the motor stops. For what I spent on this I shouldn't have to deal with this issue. No matter how carefully I attempt to bend the plate back it won't be perfect.

Great product and better customer service
I enjoy roasting my own coffee, with my propane bbq. This product was the perfect fit for the style of roasting that I do. After 11 months and many many hours of roasting, the variable speed stopped working and was running too fast. I used the device quite a bit and wanted to order replacement parts. I was willing to pay, since I got way more life out of the device than reasonably expected. After sending an email to the seller, I got a phone call, within a couple of hours. He asked me a couple of questions, as well as my order number. He determined that it was within the warranty period and sent me replacement parts without any delay. I had my new parts a couple of days later and I am very satisfied! I definitely recommend this product as well as it's seller :)

Good for coffee roasters
Good product for spinning coffee. Be aware that if the basket is too heavy the little sleeve insert will come loose and stall basket from spinning.

High variable RPM, fits Weber mount, great product support
I've had a Weber gas grill and rotisserie for many years which works ok for meat. Recently I've started roasting coffee using a cylinder basket on the rotisserie. The stock Weber motor has a set RPM which is too slow for roasting correctly. This motor fits the Weber mount (a little loose, not an issue), can change direction, and speed is variable. The seller is very responsive to questions and was helpful prior to the sale making sure I got what I needed and also cautioned about the weight of the motor maybe being too much for some mounts, so there could be a need to support the motor or reinforce the mount. The mount on my grill from 20 years ago seems to be ok, but I could see how a block of wood under the motor could help. Again, not really an issue, but the motor is a loose fit on my stock mount, so I might consider inserting a wedge of some type so the motor doesn't move as much when using it. The high speed, ability to control RPM, and compatibility with the Weber gear is exactly what I needed. Very pleased!

Great coffee roasting motor, great service
I purchased this motor in January 2017 for coffee roasting. Love the feature like variable speed and the switch to control the direction of the rotation. I've been using this every 10 days or so, only failed in May of 2022. I contacted the number on their website, and the owner kindly walked me through the problem--turned out it was not the motor, but the adapter which failed. I just got the new adopter for $20 on their site and viola! Everything works like a charm. I highly recommend this motor!

Lasted about a year
I'm using this for roasting coffee with RK Drum on BBQ. The higher speed enables an even roast. Seems to to be well made.Update: on two occasions the couple for the rotisserie spit has come of. The most recent time I thought it was more serious. They were very helpful, and it is working well again. It's a little noisy, but possible the rotisserie shaft is rubbing on the BBQ. I question whether this would be strong enough if I were using one of the larger RK drums, but I use the 2 Lb. drum. The combination works great. It is more of an art than using one of the high tech roasters, because you have to rely on the smell and the sound of the roast. You have to dial it in, but I like that process.Update: it lasted for only about a year. It generally worked well until it suddenly quit. It was a bit pricey to only last that long, so I wouldn't, and won't buy it again.
