New design feels like "nails on a chalkboard" in-between each tooth. Awful.
BRING BACK THE OLD MODEL THREADED FLOSS! The newly designed threader floss is like experiencing the most epic "nails on a chalkboard" in-between each tooth. #Fail. For the love of dental hygiene please, please return to the previous model! I have used Oral B threader floss for over ten years and its design and function have been easy and effective. It was the only product that I could rely on to effectively clean around my permanent retainer. In December I received a box of what I can only assume is a new design, about five pre-threaded floss strands neatly wrapped around a stiff square of paper. I flossed with the first strand of the new design and it actually screeched as I tried to pass its awful roughness between my teeth. They do not pass smoothly through the teeth like the old flossers did. I thought maybe it would be better if I got the strand wet but no, it was the same awfulness over and over until I finished flossing. I used to enjoy my flossing experience and felt proud that my dentist consistently complimented my gum health. Now I'm stuck with these horrible threaded flossers until you bring back the old model.

Very useful for post-braces with permanent arch wire
As the review title states, these threader flossers were recommended by the orthodontist to aid in flossing under the lower arch wire that is left permanently in place after the braces were removed. Anything that helps make flossing easier and decrease the potential that flossing is skipped during the bedtime ritual is a good thing. Obviously they are more expensive than the alternative, and that plays into the consideration, but for now, the price point is still decent enough to make these worthwhile for the benefit they provide.

High Quality
My dentist recommended that I buy the Glide Threader Floss for the two dental bridges I have in my mouth. Overall, I have been very satisfied with the quality of the floss. The floss is very easy to use. It conveniently comes in a box of 30 individual single-use packets. With the OK from my dentist, I do use the floss 2-3 times before discarding and wipe the floss in between uses with alcohol wipes. Each piece of floss comes with a built-in threader so it inserts easily under the bridge. The floss is smooth and soft so it glides easily and does not cause any irritation to the tissue under the bridge, yet it is strong enough that it does not shred. The only comment I have is regarding the length of the floss. Because it is too long for what I need it for, I cut about 1/3 of the floss off before using it. This is not problematic for me.....just to let you know! I agree with my dentist and recommend this floss as well!

BUYER BEWARE
Please do yourself a favor and check out the 1 star reviews. I have left one there as well. I can guarantee that the more recent 5 star reviews are for the original design that are individually packaged. No one in their right mind would leave a 5 star for the "new" version. The new design, 5 wrapped around a piece of cardboard like a sewing kit, stinks. Shorter, threaded on both ends, not waxed, gets stuck in your teeth, shreds, and the junk that was on your teeth gets flung onto your mirror because of the force it takes to extract it from your teeth. If it was a GPA it would be 0.0
