I got this for my husband, so that when he's out and about, he can still hear the sports results of listen to his favourite channels whilst keeping his phone free. The set is interesting because it is transparent and you can see the workings, which appealed to him. It gives good reception mostly, is easy to find and comes with headphones. It didn't come with a battery, but that was a small matter to rectify. It arrived nicely protected in a box, and is good value for money.

Surprisingly good.
This is surprisingly good, and for £12 it is excellent. The knobs could be a bit bigger to give you more control, but the radio sticks happily on local FM stations. This is as good as any personal stereo. Plus it is transparent, which is cool. Great fun, very useful in a power cut, much better battery performance than DAB and all the volume you could want. It uses the KT0936MB9 DSP radio-on-a-chip and 8002A Power Amplifier. You'll need 2 AAA batteries (not supplied). I'd give it four and a half stars if I could.

Nice little radio.
Funny enough, you will think this transparent radio will not perform, but It changed my option totally as it works perfectly well which am pleased with.Atleast I can hear the fm radio station clear and sound is not too bad, I tried to connect to external speaker which it work with perfectly well.

Average build quality, picks all the stations, easy to use, earphones sound quality below average
- When it comes to listening to the music radio stations, this radio does a fine job. I can now listen to radio music whilst I'm in the house with this pocket size radio.- The radio comes with earphones to be used with it. The build quality in terms of the body is average, can be made more solid and robust along with the buttons.- It effectively picks all the stations that I usually listen to in my car. Now I listen to it in the house causally to relax. Satisfactory reception in FM (87-108mhz) and AM (520-1710khz) with some disturbances here and there depending on the location.- The body comes with volume knob, on/off button, band selection (am/fm) and the frequency selection dial. Ease in use experience to toggle about the stations.- The sound quality of the ear phones is below average. It works in 3.5mm Jack and the radio is powered by 2AAA batteries (not included).- The back clip helps whilst using it outdoors, running, jogging offering handsfree usage.

Cheap, tacky and one pound shop quality
This pocket radio did not disappoint me at all as it is exactly what I expected for the price. It is simply a cheap clear plastic case with a card and a bit of wiring inside it.For a child's toy radio it will be fine for a four to five year old but I can see even those ages soon getting bored and grabbing for mother's / father's smart phone. The quality of this radio is so low that I can only see it being suitable for sale in one of those low budget shops but then again they probably wouldn't want to stock this amongst their low budget children's toys.I am definitely njot going to recommend this toy radio as it is poor quality, won't last long and is of poor value.

Very good with a couple of design issues.
This is a great little radio. Works very well on FM and MW. It is a simple design and does what it should do. Good volume, easy to operate, very sensitive so gets lots of stations. On the negative side - the switches are a little fiddly to operate, not so bad for the AM/FM selection because it will not be used that much but the on / off needs you to get your nail next to the switch to push it - not difficult just fiddly. Also the case is see through - great to see inside and see the parts but it feels fragile - too much pressure against it I can see it cracking fairly easily. On the whole - works very well, great item to look at, good size. If you are ok with the slider switches and careful not to put pressure on the case in a pocket etc. then an excellent choice.
