File transfer speeds in MB/s or KB/s please!

I just transferred 212GB of GoPro videos (flying lessons!) to a 256GB stick and it took about 2 hours and 45 minutes, which, if my math is reasonable, is an average of 21MB/s. It would stop, then ramp up to around 120MB/s, then ramp back down to 0MB/s and sit there for a few seconds and just keep cycling back and forth between fast and stopped. Pretty terrible. I then transferred the same files to an external hard drive, to make sure my USB port wasn't acting up and it transferred at an average of 95MB/s and it never dropped below 80MB/s, so I do believe it was just this flash drive. I'll probably be sending it back, since this seems to be a common problem with them, based on these other comments.

I purchased three of these, assuming since they were 3.0, that they would function reasonably fast in a 3.0 port. Unfortunately, I found that not to be the case and, as another reviewer noted, the speed seems to be quite inconsistent. I now use them only for situations where file transfer speed is not critical.

For those of you who have owned it for 6+ months, how's the reliability? I've seen reviews on other sites where people say the drive has failed them.

I use them for 3d resin printing. The first 20 i ordered about 5 months ago and are used every day almost 24/7 No issues. I JUST bought 3 more packs, and 3 out of 5 (in each pack) of the USB fail mid way though a 4 + hour print. I assume they changed -something- but these are unreliable for my business now.

You mean viruses. No. No drive is safe from a virus. Hackers dont care who you are. Only disabled paranoid people care about hackers. You'll never have a hacker issue. Viruses, maybe. So use your brain.
