Curtis Mathes 60W Equal LED Light Bulb - A19 - Stark White 5000K

All bulbs are day light bright, emits good amount of light for this rating of equal to 60 watts.

I have had these bulbs for about 2 years. While the bulbs performed well at first I have recently had 3 start flashing when turned on. When pulling the bulb out to replace it I noticed that the bulbs were quite hot to the touch, which is not a characteristic of led bulbs. I turned my bathroom light on today and one of the bulbs actually caught on fire. I'm glad it decided to do it while I was standing there. I have since replaced all the led bulbs in the house with a different brand. I hope this helps some one looking for reviews of this product make a smart decision and not purchase it.

I bought 4 of their CMC90-2503-827 bulbs as replacement for some 70 watt ceiling incandescents17 Watt LED with 1400 Lumens and a touted LED lifetime more than 10 years. RIGHT !!First bulb failed after 18 months, and at 2 years all 4 have had to be replaced.First sign of failure is they start to BLINK. A sure indication that the capacitors are going BAD.This only happens if the caps they chose are improperly rated (ie CHEAP) for the purpose intended.So today bulb 4 failed. Why not - - I have a cubby full of capacitors - maybe I can replace the dead ones.No Effing way - the circuit board is potted in rubberized plastic.YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED-OK - - Call me obsessive compulsive. Yeah - - I HAD to take it apart. So I did.I have NO CLUE how they can sell these things at their price and still profit - other than cutting corners with the expected results.Here are the electronic guts of the Curtis Mathes bulb - I have NO explanation why a Cap rated at 105 deg C would failAnd have NOT tried to analyze these for ESR - referenced as the reason these might blink, but Here you Are - -
