Works in combination size 4 paper filter
Works ok without a paper filter, but I prefer using it in combination with a paper filter. The coffee made with this does have some sediment without a paper filter. l am using this in combination with a size 4 filter. The size 4 filter are too thin and break without some kind of support in the chemex pour system. I can purchase the size 4 filter for less than 2 cents vs the Chemex filters for 11 cents each. I use this to make a single serving of coffee. The paper filter helps control the mess and eliminates the sediment issue.

A decent, reusable alternative
Used with: V60Pros: ReusableCons: Extraction time increased for me, extra sedimentAfter using this for over a year, I've found that metal filters just don't provide the same nuance as paper filters and add more body to a cup of coffee than I would like. This is great if you prefer more body to your coffee but not the best if you're trying to recreate the same taste from a paper filter while trying to be a little more environmentally friendly.

Decent for V60
Bought this in addition to another metal filter for testing in a production setting. While this product was ultimately the loser between another metal filter it is still of fine quality and lives in my kitchen as my go to brewing device.

nice filter
Nice filter, cleans easily, I'm still adjusting how long I grind coffee to get the best taste.

Perfect coffee filter
Perfect coffee filter - I went through so many paper ones, and I have to order on Amazon to get right size, don't need them with this. Reusable is better than recyclable

Water runs through far too quickly
The concept seems great, but it simply doesn't work well at all. Although the holes in the filter look ultra-small, the water runs through the filter too quickly. The result is weak coffee that looks more like rusty water. That's a shame, since other reusable coffee filters I've used have worked well.

Never use a paper filter again!
Use it in a drip coffee pot. Got tired of paper filters breaking. This is a great solution without investing in more expensive coffee makers.
