We tied our German Shepherd and Golden Retriever to this stake together at the beach. That’s around 150 pounds and it held those 2 active pups! That was impressive. They were in and out of the water and had plenty of space. (Yes they tangled up a bit but wasn’t terrible.) That was an impressive stake! However, by the end of the 4 hour outing the metal clasp had rust showing on it. My daughter bought the first one and they live elsewhere. I think I will buy one for us and try using a rust spray before the first use. We live in FL so it will be used at the beach the most.

Anchor is sturdy for a large dog. The bar to screw it into the ground could have been a little longer. My complaint is with the crimp clamps on the ends of the cable. The rubber coating my dog pulled of the first day, which exposed sharp edges from the crimp which cut me twice. I had to electrical tape the clamp so it won't cut my dog. At least they could have filed down the sharp edges.

I bought this for the beach and it was advertised to work my dog pulled this out multiple times without problem. May work for the yard but not for the beach. Even when it felt solid he ripped it right out. I have a medium husky for reference.

We have used this several times already and are very happy with this product. Our dog is about 22 lbs. it seems to take his pulling on the chain pretty well and gives him plenty of running room in our yard.

We live in an area that has very rocky ground and we were completely unable to get this to go into the ground. Can’t really hold it against the item but we’re hopeful we can use it camping. If you’re like us and have a backyard full of rock I would not encourage this for that reason however it looks like it’ll be awesome in sandy soil.

Received this item today and the handle is missing. We aren't returning it because we need it this weekend. We have become very disappointed with Amazon lately.

My 13 yr old son can put this up without a problem. Works great.
