The last set of spindles on my 2013 Craftsman YT-3000 by Husqvarna tractor were pretty well shot after 300 hours/3 years of use with no preventive maintenance done to them so I purchased a pair of these spindles for a reasonable price instead of higher priced ones through Sears or local mower shops. There are some good instructual videos on YouTube so I disassembled them and found that both bearings did have both the inner and outer seals installed, the bearings do come with a clear generic grease so I removed the seals and repacked them using higher quality Lucas Red-N-Tacky grease, then reinstalled only the outer seals and assembled each spindle back together, afterwards it took about 65 pumps of grease in each zerk fitting before I felt some sight resistance and noticed a small trace of grease seeping out around each top bearing indicating that each spindle housing was fully charged with grease. I have been re-greasing them now with about 10 pumps after every 25-30 hours of use and they are quiet, free spinning, and holding up pretty well after 60 hours of use. I will try and follow up with some ongoing progress reviews in the future but I'm pretty sure that these will now go well beyond the 3 years/300 hours of life that my last spindles had lasted.

Had bought a kit from another company that contained 2 spindles, 2 blades, 2 pulleys, & belt. After replacing my old spindle, experienced a bunch of vibration. After much wasted time adjusting ordered this brand unit and it worked smooth and perfectly with no fuss. Very happy with this brand. Will order another if i break another spindle.

It fit perfectly and I'm back mowing. I'm sure there's good reasoning behind it, but I wish these spindles weren't made of aluminum. This is the second spindle out of the 3 on my mower deck that has had to be replaced!

Seems a good part and works adequately, but I did have problem with the blade slipping on the spindle. The star part of the spindle that goes through the matching hole in the blade was not as high as the original part and went only about halfway into the blade. I hit a fallen tree branch while mowing and the blade slipped burring up the spindle star blade part. I was able to make it work again, but for some reason it wasn't built long enough to go fully into the blade. Probably would never give an issue if nothing ever hit by blade. However, I've hit some pretty hard stuff with the original ones over many years and they never failed. I suspect this could be a recurring issue. I added thread locker to the blade bolt in case there was some bolt loosening adding to the problem. Could be a bad design change by manufacturer, but I will steer clear of this brand / provider in the future as this product from day one proved to be less functional than the original part.

I appreciated that it included studs as my old ones all snapped off in the old spindles. A greasible zerk allows me to help keep it greased for years to come!

These work really well. They fit exactly like what was on my mower. These will fit on the craftsman dys4500. Though the one thing I do have a minor grudge about is they don’t come with grease already in them. Noticed they started making a little noise right after I got done mowing. Came on here and looked at the reviews and saw that they didn’t come with a little grease in them. Do yourself a favor and fill them with grease while you have your deck out. Other than that these work amazing. Will be getting them again here in a few years.
