I enjoyed the twist and turns of this book. Maybe I figured it out but in the end I was proven wrong. Definitely worth a read for legal thriller fans. On to number three!

When you find a great series you want to just keep reading. Sadly, Michael is a fairly new author and a third book is coming. I wish he had already written at least 10. His work rather reminds me of Michael Crichton. Not necessarily in style but how realistic the characters are, the great storylines, and always looking forward to the next book.I don't recall reading a book where the trial portion is so believable. His interaction with the judge and prosecutor seems realistically professional. I also enjoy that there is no courtroom "aha" moment when the truth comes out. The resolution comes organically as we read. I wouldn't say it is "on the edge of your seat" reading but as you read you feel as if you are Nate, learning as you go but boy at the end - WOW. I also enjoy the family aspect which also seems realistic. It is just something that fleshes out the characters and provides subtle humor, as do his friends.I hope Michael is able to keep going with his high quality writing for many books to come!

I am officially hooked on this author. The only con, I can’t put his books down. If you like well written and not obvious suspense this is for you.

I like Nate Shepherd and his story is a good one. Interesting characters and even more interesting cases. Will continue the series.

An unexpectedly well written and engrossing legal drama. It didn’t turn out the way I thought it might, which is of course a good thing to say about a suspense story like this.

I am so glad I discovered this author. If you like legal drama stories, you will thoroughly enjoy this one. He has an interesting way of using courtroom drama to tell a story. You will find the ending intriguing. I am going to read all books in this series. GREAT, GREAT, READ!

Buying the next instalment of Nate Shepherd. I enjoy a good court room drama. Will likely read the whole series.

A very good story very well written. Only downside it take forever to get really started (about the whole of the first quarter of the book). But it's worth the effort, because then the plot becomes a real page turner.

The continuing story of Nate Shepherd is as good as the first in the series. Starts of slowly but builds to a delicious twist at the end.

This life episode took so long it became a trifle tedious and thus obvious that your had to keep going to prove it. Need something more enlivening after that
