16" Leather Messenger Satchel Bag for Men Briefcase Portfolio Office Bag Brown

The look, layout and feel of this briefcase were perfect. However the quality and craftsmanship leaves a lot to be desired. I have used this briefcase twice (thanks to covid) and the sticking that holds all of the handles and straps on are coming apart. Luckily I noticed it in time to return the item. If they get the quality up, I would definitely purchase a replacement.

Very nice looking. I gifted it to my boyfriend who is a teacher. He loves the bag. Just worried about the treatment that's on the leather and if it will stain clothes.

It broke after one month of use! All I carry is a folder and a laptop and stitching feom handle came off. Other than that I loved it! Just sad now cus can’t use it.

Bought this as a Christmas gift for my husband. He’s used it now for 8 months and the handle broke. Very disappointed.

I've used this for a few months now as a laptop bag. It replaced a plain black ballistic nylon "business" backpack. It definitely makes more of a fashion statement and looks more professional. On the other hand, the generic laptop backpack is now so ubiquitous that no one thinks less of you for carrying it. Compared to a backpack this portfolio bag is harder to transport; I wouldn't want to walk a mile with it hanging off my shoulder, or bicycle any distance. But for walking from the parking lot to the office it works great.The bag has an internal zipper pocket that works well for my bits-and-bobs: a pencil sharpener, usb cables, chapstick, batteries, etc. But I added my own ziplock bag to use inside the zipper pouch to keep it clean and make it easier to remove everything and rummage around. The bag's hardware has held up well for the first few months and I expect it to last for years.I've got the brown version, and I have to say the staining looks good from a distance, but up close it looks a little sloppy. The idea is for it to look "vintage", like a portfolio that's been carried around by a bicycle messenger for years. And it looks that way from a distance. But a close inspection reveals the effect is created by uneven staining. The product photos give a pretty good idea of this, if you study them closely. If those look good to you then go ahead and buy with confidence. I expect it will genuinely age well with actual use.
