Wonderful! I started reading an interview a day at bedtime with this book on my nightstand. I ended up binge-reading it by day three.The interviews with artists unknown to me were as fascinating as the ones I did know. The conversations inspired me to seek out new music and to revel in the familiar. It's an easy, entertaining and illuminating read.I can't wait for volume two!

Right now I cant think of this book without the semi-new U2 song coming into my head - "Your Song Saved My Life" which is a song I do like. Did U2 get the idea for that song from this book? Could be! I enjoyed this book - which has a lot of quick reading and mostly interesting cameos of various artists that Bob wanted to write about in 2014 or thereabouts.The artists are good of course. That's why they're in the book. Many were new to me and it was a great excuse to listen on Spotify as I went along. There's some really great music and possibly something for everyone on this list.I don't think the premise of one song changing an artist's life actually holds up though. Many of the artists don't have just one song, some have maybe one album or one artist and I think some might have made one up just for Bob. It is a romantic thought though. One song, changing a life. Some do. There is also music history here and I think this will serve as a great reference book for me to return to.For some reason this book left me feeling sad. Maybe this would have made a better concert/video than book. This book seems to be in search of something it hasn't found. That one song that changed everything. What is it? I guess it varies. But when you find it, it's magic.
