Works with RPI5 and Ubuntu with Geekworm x1003
The Geekworm wiki is out of date FYI. This drive works great with Raspberry pi 5 and the x1003. I even have it running in forced PCIe Gen3 mode. I see a solid 800 Mbytes/s performance which is about what I would expect for gen3 at 1 lane. - the trick to get this working is you need to update your eeprom on the RPI5. Ubuntu does not update apparently so the only way to flash the eeprom to the latest is to cut a sd card with the raspberry pi os. run rpi-eeprom-update -a and then reboot. you can then connect the drive and everything works great. I had ubuntu on a sd car which I plugged into USB port on the pi and used the raspberry pi os "clone" feature to copy the os over to the NVMe drive. Then you just need to change the boot priority to NVMe and you're good to go

Works nice on a Raspberry Pi 5
Nice, fast little Samsung M.2 2242 NVMe drive works great with the "Geekworm X1003 Tiny PCIe to M.2 HAT" on the Raspberry Pi 5 at PCIe 3 bus setting. The drive was securely packaged in a small zippered anti-static bag. I ended up purchasing a second one as a gift to a friend who's also very happy with the drive.

Perfect drive for my OrangePi 5
I bought this drive to go in my OrangePi 5 to install the OS on instead of using a Micro SD Card. It fit as expected and runs the OS much faster than the traditional Micros SD card. I had not problems removing it from the unit and putting it in an external NVME case to transfer data. It doesn't run hot and it reads at a decent speed for PCI 3.0 storage. Price seemed reasonable at the time, no idea how much it costs when you read this, so shop around.

No retail packaging, which is kinda sus
First off, the drive works fine, but the lack of Samsung-branded retail packaging makes me question the authenticity of these drives. The drive comes in a little pink plastic bag that was heat-crimped shut, then it's inside of a paper/bubblewrap-lined sleeve that looks like a blood pressure cuff that would go on your arm, then the cuff is in a little plain what box with a sticker on top that has product information on it with the words "NewItem" at the bottom (another red flag to me when they go out of their way to promote that it's a "new item". Have you ever bought a retail packaged product that has "NewItem" stamped on it? I haven't...).When you look inside the cuff, it's empty, so you think you've been scammed. You have to tear the paper cuff open and the drive is inside the walls of the cuff. It's the most bizarre packaging I've ever seen.

killer combo!
here is the killer combo for the case, nvme hat and ssd for the raspberry pi 5.easy to connect in a few minutes. i removed the micro sd card to make sure only the ssdwas being used. then i connected it to ethernet and booted up the pi. just hold down shiftwhen you see the boot menu and it will download and install from the internet your OS distribution on the ssd.i am seeing speeds about 10x faster now. very happy with this combo.https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CMZ84GM8?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_titlehttps://www.amazon.com/dp/B08K79T9G5?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_titlehttps://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CSFHTJP8?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title

As a ssd backup device in external case.
Did not work in the HP Elitebook 840 G1 . I think it's a laptop issue. Not what I was hoping for. Device works well otherwise. Did a USB backup in short time frame.

Great hard drive for the price.
We purchased 4 of these drives so far. We have customers that their hard drives have failed and this Samsung is a great alternative at a much cheaper price than OEM hard drives. I cannot speak on the perfromance for gaming, but for your standard computer at work or shcool, this is great.
