Fun Read. Well Written.
Better than most of this genre.

Did not make sense at times
These are not actual books but rather chapters in a book the have been fluffed up to have enough volume to be sold as separate books ,a clever technique of revenue engagement used by many authors .This "books" were available in Kindle unlimited ,otherwise I would never had paid for all of them.I wonder if the author even read all the fluff he wrote and say " you know what , given the narrative I set up, this does not make sense ". I suspect he did but did not care, since the intent was not to create a serious work but rather to create a payday.

Great read! Don't miss it.
I hope that all fans of Sy-Fi enjoy this book as much as I do. There's are several story lines, but they were all going to the same place. Can't wait to read the next book in the series.

Great book
It just keeps getting better and better, full of action and suspense. So action packed that I had a hard time just to put it down. Ken has a great mind, to come up with pictures of the solar system and other galaxies is just awesome. A great story.

Wow
Twists within twists. Amazing! I can actually remember the names of all of the characters. Are the nations of earth going to screw this up? Hopefully history wonβt repeat itself.

Men bad. Women good.
Another fine sci-fi story in the grand tradition of twerking She-hulk, "the chosen one" Rey Palpatine and "you haven't seen what I've seen" Galadriel. The president of the USA is, of course, a woman who the characters are constantly praising and say "I'm sure glad SHE is in charge now!"The lead character of the most important space mission in history if of course a woman, thrust into the role when the commanding officer man is left behind. She is, of course, constantly praised for her great decisions and leadership. When she acts "toxic" and locks her love interest on the bridge of the ship to "protect" him, it is OK, because she just wants to save him. When she decides to send the entire crew off the ship and into danger so no one's feelings get hurt, it turns out badly, BUT of course the entire universe bends around her so it all turns out OK and her childish command decision is praised. Her super power saves the crew time and again. A super power that she didn't earn or work for, it's just there because she is so worthy and great. [Maybe she is the love child of Emperor Palpatine and She Hulk.]This super power called the "next step in species evolution" is happening for humans and the Boxans and other species are jealous and want this "power". This, of course, is only happening for women, not men. This is not toxic or sexist because of course, women are just so great and superior to men, why question it? If it was only happening for men, no doubt women wouldn't notice, right? The experienced man commander who got left behind, of course, praises her abilities and puts down his own record of command, While he pines away for his dead wife, who, we are told, he barely can live without. The main evil characters are men. The weak humans who give in to alien control are men. The good guys who are weak and who make mistakes are men, the good guys who try to guide them along a path back to right are women. The story ends here for me. I'll pick up book 5 after I'm done watching She Hulk and Rings of Power, which is to say, never.

Finally getting better
I had to put up with the first 3 books to finally get to a book in the series that was exciting. The first 3 were boring, lost and confusing. Did not have direction, the fourth book finally provided answers, now hopefully the next book and build to an exciting story.

Robert's Review and Comments
Whew, what a transition, Earth is good for the moment, but Mar Arden is still loose. Okay, Rest, Resupply and Rearm. Then Shoot, Move and Communicate to reduce them Xiiginns to dust. Thanks for a GoodRead.

Great Series but too many subplots which lower the pace.
Book four is a resounding success. This is the continuance of a great series. It would lelp if the secnd line of characters Emma, Te engineers and the doctor could have a bit more about them. They are a bit flat. My only other minor gripe is the blatant repetition of the plot and history, a predface is fine but reinforcing the general plot over in the minds of the protagonists over and over is a waste of space. The dialogue's are fabulous. The plot is now becoming over complicated with five plot lines concurrently. The eath view, the moon view, the pluto view, the Xiigians view, the fleet view an the explorer's view is a detraction from a fabulous story. I'm very interested in following Kaylan and her crew however I found the scattering of effort through so many points of view & geographies a bit of a pain.....especially the earth view because it is pedesrian and obvious and a dstraction. Very poished writing and editing though.

The galactic mystery deepens
The galaxy is big and so is time. Ken has attempted to make a sense of this in his writing here. This is again a rollercoaster of a story that keeps the reader engaged

Would make a great TV series
Agreed there are many Sci Fi tv series out there but I think Kens style is so different. It is possible to visualize the story as it is read and I would love to see this story brought to life

Plot twists ahoy
Really enjoying this series, this book in particular kept me turning pages. So much so that I finished the book in a few days. On to book 5

Excellent again
It's shone, not shined but apart from that, its a fun action packed story with lots of new technology. Still can't put these down.
