Retinol works on a molecular level to repair skin and stimulate collagen, resulting in firmer, smoother, wrinkle-free skin. Retinol is an extremely effective acne treatment. It unclogs pores to clear up blemishes, reduce blackheads, and minimize pores. Prevents future breakouts by preventing dead skin cells from clogging pores. Also repairs elastin and stimulates collagen to fade acne scars. How does it work? It is important to use your skin care products consistently. Apply a small amount of skin Retinol serum to face, lightly massage with fingertips in circular motion until absorbed. It is non-greasy, goes on smoothly, and leaves no residue. Use twice a day for a soft and radiant appearance. Your skin's texture should start to improve with the first application, but give your skin at least 30 days of consistent use to see the optimal results Our Promise - All DewDrop Skincare Products are proudly manufactured in USA by our advanced FDA registered facility under strict compliance. OK serum, but not my favorite. Worth a try if you have normal to dry skin.
When I review a skin care product like to describe my skin type and my skin care routine so other buyers can relate or not.I'm 38 years old and have mildly oily skin. I have enlarged pores and some mild acne scars. I have some hyperpigmentation issues from sun damage and chronic melasma that I developed during my pregnancies. I don't think I have wrinkles yet and at this point I just want to prevent them.I have been using vitamin C and retinol for a few months now and I am seeing major improvements in my skin condition overall. My pores have visibly shrunk, my dark spots are fading and my skin definitely has a nice healthy glow. If you have similar issues with your skin, I highly recommend the combo vitamin c in the morning and retinol at night. There are hundreds of retinol serums available. It's overwhelming to choose and find the right one for you. I personally like to think that any retinol product with 2.5% retinol will deliver results. What will change is the additional ingredients, that some will like and some won't. Some serums will smell different, have a different texture, some will be more oily than others, some will be runny, some will be like a gel, some more organic, etc...I have tried several different brands and have my preferences.I have received this product at a discount in exchange for an honest review and have been using it for 5 days. I honestly think this serum is OK, but it is not my favorite. It's almost odorless, which is nice. It gets absorbed by the skin fairly well and leaves no residues, which is also nice.It is a bit too runny for me and comes in a bottle with a dropper. I personally prefer the serums that are a little firmer (like a gel), and comes in a bottle with a pump simply because it's more convenient to apply.I apply my serum at night before bed and I like to observe what my skin looks like when I wake up. When I use my favorite retinol serum I wake up with a great looking even skin while when I use this serum I wake up with my skin looking a little oilier than usual. On the other side, if you have dry skin, this might be a good thing for you because retinol can be drying.Overall, I think it's an OK serum. Personally, I don't think I would re-purchase it though. I am sticking with Aria Starr 2.5% Retinol Serum - 2 FL OZ - With Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin E, Aloe, Jojoba Oil, Green Tea - Best Natural Skin Care Product For Anti Aging Anti Wrinkle, Acne Face, Neck & Eye Treatment - which is a nice serum as well and by the way costs less than half the price of this one (it comes in a 2oz bottle instead of 1oz). But again, every skin is different and you have to find the best for your skin...

Power Packed Super Serum
This is absolutely a beneficial serum for all skin type from normal, mature, acneic to aging skin. The combination of the ingredients makes for one power packed serum. I would recommend this product and will purchase it in the future. The appearance is what you would expect with a serum, although this serum does not have a viscous texture (sticky) like some serums have. There is a slight scent present but it is hardly noticeable. This serum absorbed quickly, way faster than I expected and did not leave a tacky or greasy feeling on my face or to touch. The product recommends to lightly massage the serum until absorbed. Gravity is not our friend ladies, therefore use upward strokes during application. I feel the best way to review this product would be an informative view on the benefits of each ingredient:Glycerin - Is a humectant used as a bonding again in cosmetics and attracts water to the skin, thus making skin softer and smoother. Additionally, this also assists in retaining moisture within the product itself.Aloe Barbadenis Leaf Juice - possesses anti-inflammatory qualities and used topically can heal burns (who hasn't reached for Aloe Vera when sun burnt?), reduce the appearance of scars and shockingly has healing properties, effectively stimulates proteolytic enzyme action in skin tissue, stimulating fibroblast cells that manufacture collagen, protects the skin from UV damage but that's not all it contains including Vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12, C, E, Choline and Folic Acid. These vitamins are essential to protecting the skin from free radicals, that cause signs of premature aging due to damaging effects on the DNA and other cell structures. Interestingly enough, scientists have shown that skin can absorb the key ingredients of Aloe up to 7 layers deep.Propylene Glycol- is a humectant. There are websites and spam e-mails stating that propylene glycol is really industrial antifreeze and that it is the major ingredient in brake and hydraulic fluids. These sites also state that tests show it’s a strong skin irritant. They further point out that the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) on propylene glycol warns users to avoid skin contact because systemically (in the body) it can cause liver abnormalities and kidney damage. As ominous as this sounds, it’s so far from the reality of cosmetics formulations that almost none of it holds any water or poses any real concern. In fact, research from toxicologists has shown that propylene glycol and similar ingredients don’t present a health risk for people when used in cosmetics. [1] It’s important to realize that the MSDS refers to a 100% concentration of a substance. Even water and salt have frightening comments regarding their safety according to their MSDS reports. In cosmetics, propylene glycol is used only in the smallest amounts to keep products from melting in high heat or from freezing. It also helps active ingredients penetrate skin. In the minute amounts in cosmetics, it’s not a concern in the least. People aren’t suffering from liver problems because of propylene glycol in cosmetics. And, finally, according to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, within the Public Health Services Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry, “studies have not shown these chemicals (propylene or the other glycols as used in cosmetics) to be carcinogens.” [2] The Cosmetic Ingredient Review Board and other groups have analyzed all of the toxicology data and exposure studies concerning topical application of propylene glycol as commonly used in cosmetics products. Their conclusion was that it is safe and does not pose a health risk to consumers.Retinol - is Vitamin A, a derivative that boost collagen to reduce fine lines and speed cell turnover to even out discoloration and smooth skin. When Retinol is applied to the skin it activates the collagen and elastin causing a plumping effect. Retinol is also proven to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, skin texture, tone, color and improve the skin hydration.Collagen - Type 1 Collagen is the most abundant in the human body and works with elastin to give skin its texture, ability to stretch, and overall appearance.Hydrolyzed Elastin - water-binding agent but it has never been shown to affect the elastin in skin or to have any other benefit, such as firming or lifting.Vitamin E - antioxidant properties, blocks free radicals from the body, which are largely responsible in the aging process. Protection against free radicals, will reduce wrinkles and keep skin youthful.Hyaluronic Acid- humectant, meaning it draws water to the skin to prevent moisture loss, more like a moisturizer. The most interesting thing about this ingredient is the ability to retain moisture. Nerd fact: 1 gram of hyaluronic acid can hold up six liters of water. That's more than most of us drink in a day.I received this product at a discount however, I will purchase additional items as gifts for family members.Referenced sites: WIkipedia and Cosmetic Dictionary
