Sturdy and small pack size
I’m really impressed by these cheap poles. I usually use expensive Leki poles, but wanted something small enough to go inside my rucksack if I’m scrambling or rock climbing. I didn’t want to buy lighter, but much more expensive, carbon fibre poles, as I didn’t feel I’d use them often enough. (I mainly planned to use my robust aluminium Leki poles still.) Putting these together, I was immediately impressed by how well-made they are. They actually feel slightly lighter than my Leki’s, but pack down to a much shorter length, so they will easily fit inside my rucksack. I’m 5’3”, and have preferred to use trekking poles set at a single length for 30 years now (regardless of whether I’m going up or downhill). The shortest setting on these (buying the shorter length option) feels very slightly longer than I’d usually set my Leki’s, but they will be far better than not being able to take poles with me. The handles feel comfortable, and I like that they came with a wide variety of pole end options, Velcro to keep the folded poles together, and a handy storage bag to carry them in. It is easy to snap the pole sections together, and the resulting poles are stable and sturdy.

Great hiking pole
Great hiking poles, easy to assemble once you know how. They fold up small enough to put in travel case or attach to my backpack. I have only used them up to 600m but found them sturdy and reliable to take my weight when climbing down steep rocks and uneven ground. I'm 5'5" and they are a good length for me. They are lovely and light, comfortable on the hands and lock securely as long as you follow the instructions.

APPEAR TO BE GOOD QUALITY
Having a medical condition that affects my balance I need poles to walk comfortably any reasonable distance. After a lot of research of the 'top' pole manufacturers specifications I had narrowed down my preferred options but also had a budget to keep to. Lightweight aircraft aluminum for strength, easily collapsible to be able to take on holiday and adjustment for height, comfortable handle with adjustable wrist straps and of course it would have to have good reviews from others that had used them - all at a reasonable price. Usually you have to compromise on one or two things on your wish list but these seem perfect in every way for my needs and budget. Only 4 stars because I haven't given them a reasonable test yet, that will come in May, so I should be able to give an update then.

I'm VERY impressed with these.
I bought these to replace a pair that I bought in a charity shop. They were fine, but had a twist-lock that (i) wasn't very secure and (ii) was sometimes the devil's own job to release. There are lightweight and have a very positive lock. The lock is also very easy to release. That means they're either (i) locked solid and therefore safe to put your full weight on if needs be or (ii) unlocked for folding. They are very quick and easy to both deploy and fold down. In use, they feel very comfortable and certainly do make walking a bit easier and quicker. The conventional wisdom is that you can use Nordic walking poles for trekking, but not trekking poles for Nordic walking. These are trekking poles. I have no idea what the difference between the two walking styles is and (being indifferent to organised walking groups) have no interest in finding out. (I'm a grumpy old bugger and don't want to be bored to death by retired primary headteachers or social workers.) But what I can say, is that these are an excellent walking aid when travelling the footpaths and hilly areas of Britain. There are four points to bear in mind: 1 - when off-road, remove the rubber tip and use the metal end for much better grip. 2 - take very great care to make sure that the stick is well behind your foot or you'll almost certainly trip yourself up. 3 - watch a few YouTube instructional videos and learn how to use the poles properly and safely. It will take you a few hours to become fully used to them. 4 - and this is VERY important ... grip the poles as advised. If you do it right, you can use your hands to arrest a fall in safety; do it wrong and you can guarantee a dislocated or broken thumb if you fall. A word of warning about which length you buy: take the recommended measurements seriously. I'm a tad shorter than recommended for the longer ones, but I bought them anyway. Don't make the same mistake! These are just about comfortable for me on their very shortest length. If you are less than 5' 6", get the shorter ones.

Easy to extend and to fold. I did however have to be careful disconnecting the first joint as it would jam if it wasn’t twisted just right. Packs small and fits easily in case. Very strong and sturdy. Only a few times I had to tighten the clamp as if not tightened well the pole colapses. The straps and hand support is very comfortable. Easy to adjust height. After using full time for one month due to a sprained ankle I would have to give it 5 stars.

Works very well and folds up to very small and fits in suitcase but a) difficult to assemble b) if not perfectly assembled it is inclined to slide up and down
