Smells pretty bad for a while but supportive. It doesn't on the carpet and hardly bunches up.

vivid antimicrobial yoga mat was supposed to be the foldable travel mat. Somehow the travel mat page was redirected to the vivid page and I ended up with this one instead of the foldable travel mat.It's probably a good mat for non travel, but it is not what I was trying to order.Thanks.

Caveat: This review is coming from someone that has never done yoga before, and who purchased this matter specifically with learning how to do yoga in mind. I also received a discount on this product.This mat is great! I am a big guy, and I figured that any mat I purchased would be rather small for me, as yoga is something that is usually associated with fit women who are as thin as twigs. Step 1, complete: find a mat that fits a big guy. Steps 2 through 5 will involve learning yoga, losing weight, being more attractive, and that ever elusive Profit? step.However, this mat will certainly assist with the process. It feels good when I lie down on it - it is smooth and resilient, with a slight squish to it. It rolls up very tightly, which makes it take up very little space for such a large footprint. It is purple, however I am supposed to feel about that color. I guess it is a nice shade of purple? I liked purple better than the other options, though I think I would have preferred dark blue or black (not offered).I wish I knew what else to say about it. I have no comparison, but the materials seem very high quality, and everything about this mat makes me feel happy about the purchase. That is what you look for in a 5-star product, so that's what it earned from me.

Even after over a year...it is still in great shape! I love this mat because it lays out quickly and it's solid (no slip.) It is heavier than most and it does not sit upright (you have to lay it down.) I would absolutely buy it again. Oh and the odd smell people have mentioned dissipates after a short period of time. I give it 4.5 stars (it would have 5 if it had come with a strap.)

Love the mat! I feel more comfortable working out in this mat rather than the other mats because I know I'm laying on a germ free mat. Great product.
