Planting a Rainbow

Colorful and meaningful little book!
Ordered this for a baby shower "card" for a friend who is having a rainbow baby. (Baby after miscarriage/loss.) the message is perfect and gave me goosebumps. It's about a child and mother planting a rainbow in their garden and watching it bloom. The illustrations are fantastic and vibrant in color! Will make a great addition to my present for her sweet rainbow baby!

this will be a gift for my grandson when he turns one this august. with it, he will receive some bulbs and a bulb planter that i suspect his father (my son) will use to "help" plant the bulbs in their new backyard. i wanted to give the gift of nature and earth and dirt and memory, and this book does all of that. it is beautiful and just the colors alone would make for a great book to enjoy over and over. but the book is informative enough to entice everyone into wanting to plant seeds and bulbs and then wait for the colors to grow. each year i will give a few more bulbs at his birthday so he can plant more flowers and then wait through our long winter to watch for the blooms to appear. this is the perfect book!

LOVE this book! Similar page style as The Very Hungry Caterpillar
What a special book. We purchased this after my grandma passed away. We read and reread this book as it reminds us of her garden, love for flowers, and teaches our children the names of flowers like our Grandma taught us. Very high quality board book. We love the pages and how similar they are to The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

Cute story for 3+ year olds
Great book, but not for younger (2ish) kids. Uses scientific names for flowers - that's a plus, but it makes it tedious for Littles, so I end up skipping a lot of words for my 2 year old to stay interested. We have the "Eating The Alphabet" book by the same author and my baby girl loves it. I think she'll grow to like it more, and I could see an older child enjoying the bigger words to say.
