Odysseus: The Greatest Hero of them All

THis book is the second half of the Odysseus legend as re told by Tony Robinson in both this book and on television, I loved the series on TV and this book has allowed me to bring it to my son a generation later. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone to read to their children but bear in mind the many Greek names and that nearly everyone is killed off. It is a must to read Odysseus the greatest hero of them all first.

I think it's an excellent book and I think lots of kids my age will get a definite laugh out of it.

The authors have paid attention to detail, and these books are very good. I enjoyed them as a child and am now reading them to my sons.

Funny, exciting, well written and well paced - my favourite book as a child. What more can I say? Difficult to track down nowadays but if you can, give it a go - you won't regret it!

Bought the tape after reading the review on Amazon - my son loves books on tape, and adores Blackadder, and I thought he would like this tape. Well, he wouldn't touch it for weeks ("history - yeuch!"); then we had a long car journey, and he was hooked! As was I. I love this adaptation, brilliantly funny but lots of bits of fact. My son has started looking at other books on the period too.Good fun.
