I love using reusable bags to go places and especially at the grocery store. My cousin has started using them as well and loves arts and crafts so I thought would be fun to create our own design to carry around. This set included both the bag and a set of fabric markers to transform your bag into a colorful canvas and was a good value for the price! The bag is very sturdy and a decent size. These bags are washable but I have washed other ones before and they sometimes shrink quite a bit so be careful about drying in in the dryer and instead lie flat or line dry. It would be helpful if they included washing instructions. In fact, the tags on my bag are not correct and state that the bag is “a drawstring backpack and made of polyester” while the description on amazon say “canvas tote bag and made of cotton” so that’s some kind of a mistake. The markers come in six bright colors: Blue, neon yellow, neon orange, neon pink, red and green. I agree with some other customers that the set would be better if one of the markers was black. The package of markers does not state any washing instructions either and the instructions for use are vague and confusing. We were not sure if we need to iron the bag after we color it or not but you definitely should put cardboard inside the bag so that the colors do not bleed through to the other side when making your design. The packaging that came in the mail was just a plastic zip lock bag that was not very nice and just had a sticker with a barcode stating what the item was so it is not a great package for giving as a gift. The markers just barely fit inside the plastic zip lock and therefor, arrived a little damaged but these last two issues are not that critical for me. I received this product to test at a deeply discounted rate in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. We are going to enjoy designing this bag and using it to save from using plastic bags. It is sturdy and can be used for library books, farmers markets, trip, groceries, pretty much anything you can think of so let you imagination run free!

It's an okay canvas bag, but the markers are worse than expected. What you can't see in the product photos is that they're actually highlighter colors. I know they look like regular markers in the images, but they're those thin fluoro colors that lack any kind of richness. That's a drawback, because I thought this would make a nice gift for a young kid---but what's the point if the colors aren't any fun?So that means you need to go out and get a decent pack of fabric paint markers....which defeats the purpose of getting this set. Basically, you'd just be getting it for the canvas bag, which is crazy. (Pro-tip: If you have regular acrylic paint lying around the house, you can also use that, but they may not be durable and stand up to machine washing.)It *is* a decent bag though. It's bigger than you might expect: ~16" x 17", with a 12" handle drop, so it's big enough to go to the farmer's market. However, mine wasn't completely pristine, and arrived with some black marks (see photo.)Also, at a minimum, I think it would have been good for them to include at least one black paint pen. Two would have been better. At least that would open up a lot of possibilities for cute black-and-white graphic designs. The included markers also don't have helpful instructions. I really think the marker situation needs a lot of improvement....which is why I'm only giving this 3 stars.---Promotional sample provided for the purpose of candid and objective review.---

I love colors so when I received an offer to test this bag with markers free, I jumped on it. I have done this type of thing on T-shirts and sneakers, even a helmet, so I really want to attack this package artistically and currently am planning designs. I know I'm going to have a bunch of fun doing this one, plus now we have to get ready and stock up with this type of bag because come September, we have to pay for all grocery or shopping bags when we shop in any store. I was thinking of the eye of Horas and Bluetry written stylishly, my own design. I love the colors on the markers too! I will have fun with this bag! When you combine color and art for me - I go berserk. So much fun! Maybe later I'll post again to show progression of artwork.
