The Jesus Film (25th Anniversary) Deluxe Commemorative Edition

This 1987 Warner Bros. VHS release is apparently a rare find. I managed to secure a copy, and can confirm it accurately represents the original cut of the ‘Jesus’ film (newer releases feature different intros/outros).

I liked the factual portrayal of the culture, dress, attitudes and customs. Luke did not include many things the other Gospels included, but Luke's message was clear about Jesus' invasion of enemy territory with the full knowledge of what would happen to him.I especially enjoyed the features about the making of the film 50 years ago and how it has been used to spread Luke's message. Shown more times and translated into more languages than any other film ever.

A great film to explain the life and ministry of Jesus Christ! Especially good to show family and friends at Easter!

Fantastic movie highly recommend this one. A wonderful movie for Easter or anytime really. It's very well done. Use it as a witnessing tool to show others who Jesus Christ was and about His death and resurrection!

This DVD is 100% Bible accurate and you can view it in the King James Version or NIV version. You can view the worded captions in a few different languages. This DVD is awesome!!! We need more Biblical DVDs like these.

WARNING: This is the renewed version, the music is awful at times and in some scenes it even mimics the Braveheart theme song, the dubbed voices are distracting and the caption is poorly done. Stick to the original from the 70s.This is a GREAT FILM ruined by the modern edits. But at least the message stays intact.

The gospel of Luke, nothing added or taken away. Pure and true message of life and forgiveness from GOD thru HIS SON JESUS!

This is a great movie about a great God. Jesus, God in human flesh. It follows the Gospel of Luke very well. I would highly recommend anyone to watch this movie. I am very happy with my purchase.

Films are a real help for so many people and a great way to introduce a loving caring person jesus was and still is. I know people who have been touched by the film. It takes years to appreciate facets of Jesus character but we saw in the film a person to admire, who is worth understanding
