Cherry Pitter - Heavy Duty Zinc Alloy Cherry Stoner [Ion-1R] Red

This is a great little gadget that I can't believe I didn't find until just a few years ago, and that most people don't know about. It makes pitting cherries or olives a snap, It is inexpensive and sturdy, dishwasher safe, and doesn't take up space. I have mine right next to my cutting area and use it every time I get fresh cherries, which is a lot more often now that I don't have to spend time cutting out the pits. Since finding mine, I have gotten a bunch for other people and even ones who cook a lot often don't know about these cherry pitters. I always wondered who would put in the effort to pit enough cherries for a pie With these, I would make that effort. Mine is red, but they come in other colors

Beautiful kitchen tool! Best of all it works perfect! Cherries are such 'a pain' to pit. This cherry pitting tool works like magic! I pitted a flat of cherries in less than two hours. Yay! Went through dishwasher, totally clean, & think it is built to last forever. I'll be passing this on to my grandkids. Thanks!

This is so awesome! It is really great quality. It feels like it is made very well and won't break on me after a couple uses. This is perfect for families with little kids so you can take the seed out of the cherry and little kids can enjoy cherries without you having to worry about them swallowing the seed or becoming a mess while biting around the seed trying to get it out. One of my favorite things I've bought on Amazon.

I'd been warned that pitting cherries was a messy job, and I should prepare my kitchen with lots of paper towels, not to mention wear an apron. However, NONE of this was needed! The cherry pitter worked perfectly and easily. There was little to no mess, and I went through about a pound and a half of cherries in way less time than I originally thought it would take. Brilliant!

Got this for my wife, who has small cherries the size of small green olives. I believe they are the 'martha washington' type. The description says it will do small cherries as well as olives. The small cherries push right down into the cup, it would be nice if there was a plastic cap of some sort to make the cup smaller. I wont try to return it, as it works just a little better than a paring knife.

Tried a few pitters before this one-that turned out to have been a waste of time: This is the one for me. It's quick, efficient, relatively tidy (they are cherries, after all), easy to clean, locking mech functions well. What more do you need in s cherry pitter? Oh yeah, it's red !~! I love mine.

Jaws do not open wide enough, and 'bowl' is too small for the biggest Californian cherries.Also, the pitter would benefit from having a return spring, to open the jaws after each pitt.

If you are looking for a product that actually works, with no extra pieces to wash (or lose if you are like me! Lol) this is the one for you. I have two small boys who are OBSESSED with cherries this season. This product is super simple, and quick to use, and the best part is you can see if the pit comes out of it. No guessing games. It feels sturdy in your hand, no bending or give when you squeeze it. I am sure I will never need to buy another one. Great quality.
