The book was interesting it about an arranged marriage between two people who met only once the h was very insecure because of her looks. Years passed either off studying and the H working he went to visit ny the h decided visit and introduce herself to see his reaction to her however things went differently the H was very upset when she told him the truth of herself because she made him feel dishonorable. It all we worked out in their HEA quite well kudos to them.

Alright, not great.
This read like it was a filler book - Something to move another story further. Which is odd as it was the first book of a two book arc.

Strong Princess, Unusual Prince, Fun Story
Princess Mila is a teenager when her brother arranges her engagement to Prince Thierry. She is young, a little overweight, and lacks confidence, especially next to her handsome fiance. The good news is she knows it. Her brother agrees to let her have a few years before the wedding, and she uses that time to head to the United States for college. Fast forward to a coupled months before the wedding, Mila has grown up, worked hard to earn degrees in a field she is not only passionate about, but will also help the people of her new kingdom, all with the anonymity of being almost a regular person. Prince Thierry is also determined to to not only to honor his vow, but have a good marriage.I really enjoyed the journey these two had on their way to getting to know each other on their way to their wedding and their HEA.I wandered away from Harlequin many years ago, but some authors bring me back. I really enjoy Yvonne Lindsay's writing and stories are always fun and engrossing and her Harlequins have a little something extra.

Royalty makes for complications
Thierry was always going to be a hero I loved. A man who wanted to be honourable and create the best possible chance for his arranged political marriage with Princess Mira. His family fell apart in a storm of infidelity and scandal and he didn't want to risk that happening in his own marriage. The choice of employing a courtesan to teach him how to be a good husband was perhaps due to the less than ideal values of his father. It was bound to lead to trouble.Mira has spent the last seven years trying to become a bride worthy of Thierry after he showed her his dismay at their betrothal. An anonymous meeting gives her hope, but hearing he intends to employ a courtesan only weeks away from their wedding breaks her heart. Not being a wimp, she decides to do something about it and embarks on a course of deception that will have it's own consequences. This is an old trope that is always a little risky. A damned if you (or they) do or damned if they don't. I remember reading a Barbara Cartland in my teens with a very similar setup in the world of the Paris demi-monde. The hero in that case was a manwhore, unlike my beloved Thierry. The problem comes with the deception when the reader is the only one who knows the truth about who is who and at least one person is operating on a mistaken premise. It cuts very close to the bone.Despite this, I really enjoyed the story and found the characters flawed but likeable. They made mistakes, but in most cases their intentions were good. It certainly kept me enthralled into the small hours. The sequel is coming soon and I look forward to finding out what happens with Mira's brother Rocco and Ottavia who make an appearance in this book.I received a copy of this book for review.
