My wife and kids like being outdoors, but they also are very sensitive to mosquitos. I have a bunch of hammocks that I have used for backpacking and picked up one place or another over the years, but never one with a net.Also, standard hammocks can close around you, which can keep heat in on a hot day.This one solves both problems. I have not carried it anywhere yet. It is set up on my back porch. The extra material and the stays that are used to keep the hammock open do add a little to the weight and the space. But I think they are reasonable. It is not something that I probably would backpack with, but I do think it is a reasonable option for backpacking. I think it is probably best for car camping or use at home.There are a ton of pockets of various sizes. Two for drinks, which I have never tried, but should work with water bottles that are not super big. There is also a phone pocket, a book/kindle sized pocket, a key pocket, and then two larger pockets which are velcro removable but would work for clothes or something.There is also a guideline that stretches between the ends and has another gear bag with a couple of small pockets on them that can be moved around.Overall I am happy with it and my kids are regularly sitting outside in it on our porch with me instead of avoiding the outside.

I have to gush. Two insulated drink holders. Tons of bags. A pillow compartment with an inflatable pillow. Loops for me to hang my two Tribit StormBox Micro Bluetooth Speakers set to stereo mode. Compartments for every size. Poles to hold it open so it doesn't collapse on me. Optional Bug net. And, decent length Hammock straps. Since moving to Florida, I tend to spend every weekend in a hammock near water somewhere. I've tried many of those interchangeable $29-39 hammocks and Hammock Swings chairs. There is the "Grown-up" version of those perfectly good parachute nylon hammocks. Between the Pillow (that stays in place in it's pouch), the loops to hang my speakers, and TWO (count them) TWO insulated bags that can hold 20oz sodas... (one I'm drinking and a spare so I don't have to get up).... I just love this hammock. It has everything you need, though you might want to get a 2nd set of hammock straps if you want absolute versatility. This is obviously more "Camp Gear" and high-end than most casual recreational hammocks, but it works perfectly as a recreational hammock too!

The Koala I purchased is well made and excellent quality. It is large enough to fit two people as advertised and I like all the extra pockets. The straps have various settings making it easy to get the height the way I want it. So far I am very happy with my purchase. I can highly recommend this product.
