Sears Craftsman 139.53975SRT1 Remote is Equivalent to the 971LM

We moved into our house in 2007; up until now, we did not own a remote control for the garage door opener; we would use the keypad to open & close the door, or use the switch button inside the garage. We had looked at various Sears stores & appliance stores, but never found a remote that was reasonable priced or even available. We saw this on Amazon & decided it was time to get the remote; the programming was very simple, just pressed a button & the remote picked up the code for our garage door opener. We are very pleased with the operation & ease in using this product. I would highly recommend buying this if you need either a replacement or an extra garage door opener remote.

Our garage remote for an old Craftsman garage remote is not longer sold by the manufacturer and although there are some knockoffs, I didn't see good reviews and wasn't confident they would last long. We ordered this Liftmaster remote and it worked great as a replacement. Sync'd immediately and up went the garage door. Would definitely recommend.

I bought two of these and they took only a few seconds each to sync with the Craftsman opener. The opener is from 2001 and is model 139.53975SRT1. They seem well built.

Sears Craftsman replacement remote for the Lift Master Security + garage door. The remote range seems to be better than the original. Easy to match remote frequency to garage door base unit. Just press red button on base unit and press remote - matches in seconds. The only downside of the remote is opening it to change the battery - it can be difficult to jam a screwdriver in the seam of the remote to pry the case open. Not sure why they don't make it easier. Not sure about it's long term durability - in use for 1-2 weeks with no issue.

I've been holding off in buying an extra remote control for years because its price at Sears is so expensive compared to the entire garage door opener unit.At one point got tired from of getting down and walking out of my third car just to open the garage door thru the outside wall remote unit. I looked on-line and found this reasonable price compatibleremote control. I placed an order. In few days received this RU in no time. Unpacked the unit. Read the instruction that goes along with it. Programmed the remote RU, In less than 10 seconds this RU works!!! I was so happy. This works perfect!!I'd recommend this RU to anyone. If you are looking for a substitute/or equivalent remote to Sears Craftsman's, this is it!!!!

I purchased this remote for a garage door that was not operating with the old one. This is a perfect replacement for the worn out Craftsman remote. Same size, operates the same way plus it was easy to program.

Long overdue remote replacement for 2003-ish Sears garage door opener. Easy to program, and works fine. Small and convenient to carry in pocket, rather than leave in car.
