I normally fail at manual lens but I decided to watch a video on this particular model and it helped a lot. My camera is a Canon T7. I kept the appetite at f8, ISO on auto, shutter speed at 500, and zoomed manually. It’s a big lens and these pics were taken with me holding the camera. It doesn’t have image stabilizer so I’m pretty impressed at how they turned out. The red leaves were blowing hard in the one picture so I put the camera in sports mode and it actually took a decent picture from afar. The bad reviews I had read were mostly from people who didn’t know how to set their camera so I hope the settings I have listed help.

The lens did not come with the ring adapter in order to connect it to the camera itself rendering it completely useless. Had to ship it back without even using it because it said specifically and showed a picture of the adapter ring supposed to come with the lense but it does not. Do not waste your money.

I purchased this on Prime day. Read the reviews and figured I'd see for myself and send it back if I didn't like it. It definitely takes some patience and practice but I kept it! Haven't had the chance to take too many photos yet but excited to get more time with it!

Got it for moon pics and it does great

So, just like the title only for the length that’s the only reason why I will get This lens the sharpness that comes with the lens is not there. I even thought it was me at upon a time but it’s not. I’ll tried for two hours with the settings. On the camera and lens if you are a photographer or person that like looking a birds in you don’t care about the quality of your pictures then get this lenMy ig is fleming_photo

First of all the camera does not recognize the lens. You have to put it on manual. No other functions will be usable with this lens. So far I have been unable to take a picture. It’s just black. Very minimal instructions comes with it.After review above, the company reached out to help me get the lens to work. I have only used auto and need to learn aperture and iso settings needed to get great pictures. I now get pictures instead of black. If you want a manual lens this one is fine. Just knowing upfront that it won’t be usable as an auto lens makes a difference.

This worked well with my 3100. New Bald Eagle nest across the river looks great! About 500 ft away.

Does not work at night and also certain settings. It kept saying lens is not in . We followed directions and all was in place. I loved the light weight . It would not take pics right. Some pics I took were black nothing showed up.

Although the lens itself is value for money I am extremely disappointed to find that the second time I tightened the tripod stand bracket JUST FINGER TIGHT, it snapped! See photos. So now I don't trust putting it on a tripod which makes the lens practically unusable and a huge waste of money. Cheap, brittle plastic. I am emailing the company directly to see what they have to say.

Considering what I paid for this, and the results I’ve had so far, I couldn’t be happier!It is a little harder to focus due to the manual focus, but if you experiment with different settings you’ll find where you need to be at.It’s a little heavy but I use it with a tripod for night photography, specifically the moon, which was what I bought it for.
