Pentair 59003100 Complete Element Assembly Replacement FNS Plus FNSP60 Vertical Grid Pool and Spa Filter

My pool company wanted to charge me $1,000 for this filter installed. Takes 5 minutes to install, so I saved $600 and have to throw out my old one - sounds like a great deal.

Slapped in there with no problems

Half of my 6 year old DE Grids had fabric tears which leaked DE into the pool. This product was shipped as one assembly which required only a drop-in to the DE housing and connection of the Vent Filter to the top. The Tank O-Ring also needed replacement. I have found that seating the 8 or so DE Grids was tricky and this pre-assembled solution was much better. Only issue is that the large cardboard box had moderate shipping tears but no evidence of assembly damage.

Missing filler screen, filler tube, hex nuts, threaded rod, broken grids, not usable.

we needed to replace our filter grids as they were several years old and had developed holes; decided the entire thing should be replaced because of age and this item was perfect. Just drop in and connect - we were done.

A complete replacement of 60sq ft pentair improved water clarity using Leslie Pool media replacement for DE.4 stars because of shipping container not sealed and virtually no packing material. Shocked that there was no damage. shipper must have been very careful in their handling.

This is supposed to be a complete unit but the air bleed tube was missing. I had to purchase the missing part from a local pool supply store. After I got that, the unit just dropped in the filter tank and worked perfectly well. I would have given this a 5 star if air bleed tube was not missing. Also, the unit was very poorly packaged. The box that contained it was loosely taped and was ready to fall apart. Just thankful that the unit itself was not damaged. It is not an issue of a poor quality box but rather poor workmanship of the shipping clerk.
