Really wanted this to work but....
We bought this spinner after seeing similar models in the garden centre for twice as much money. We didn't really want a jewelled one but, at the price, we were happy to take it. Unfortunately there is a reason why it is half the price of those garden centre models. Firstly, it is nowhere near as substantial, all the components are thinner and flimsier than the more expensive item. Assembly was easy but the spinners require a strong gust to provoke any movement at all. The ground spikes are too short, too few and too thin to provide a firm mounting so the whole thing will lean if the wind is blowing in a certain direction. The jewels started to fall out on day one. They aren't glued in, they are held by metal claws that are too short to grip them effectively. So we had to return it. The seller was very good, the customer service line was helpful and efficient and the refund came through quickly. It's a shame the product wasn't to the same standard. We ended up forking out for an expensive one and it was immediately clear why it cost more. It was sturdier with a tripod stake at the bottom. The spinners had bearings to ensure smooth easy movement, they spin in the slightest breeze. In retrospect the cheap model looked and felt like what someone would make if they saw a picture of a spinner but didn't have any understanding of the basic engineering principles that made it work. Oh well, you live and learn.

Beware !!
I Read reviews which reported damaged items and soaked packaging however I decided these customers were just exagerating some surface wet from our seemingly constant rain.When the box arrived ,although the box had originally been of good sturdy quality, it was so wet that it had almost returned to papermache ,it must have been wet for a long time. The contents were not damaged but I certainly would not recommend this supplier or his carriers.
