Solved my USB to MIDI problem. I bought this particular one (UMH-21) because I read somewhere that other identical looking units are not necessarily as capable for use with keyboards. Don't know why but I can say that it work perfectly.

Justo lo que necesitaba, tengo un piano electrico Alesis que no tiene salidas MIDI, solamente salida USB para conectar a una computadora, pero queria conectar el teclado a un pedal harmonizador vocal que si tiene MIDI para controlar las harmonias con el teclado, entonces esta interface me sirvio perfectamente. La señal midi del teclado fue reconocida sin problema por el pedal. Nada mas a veces al conectarlo no reconoce la señal del teclado pero en el instructivo viene que primero conectes a la fuente de energia el host y luego conectes el teclado y el midi y lo hice y funciono sin problema. Lo recomiendo!

The product looks good, but I cannot even start using it, because the cable delivered to power it is incompatible with the socket. Not sure probably the item was returned by someone before and they just randomly added a different cable. Very unproffessional.

送り側にYAMAHA PSS-A50キーボード(ミニUSBのみ)と受け側にSONICWARE LIVEN Texture Lab(標準MIDI DIN端子装備)を接続してテストしましたところ、特に何の設定も無く無事動作しました。これさえあればUSBしか無い今時のキーボードコントローラー等からMIDI黎明期のビンテージシンセ等を動かすことができます。昔の機材も無駄にならずありがたいことです。

I use it to control both my midi capable pedals from Boss and Roland. Easy to setup and I make changes to my pedals automatically from my iPad. Great stuff, I'm glad I bought it!
