SHIMANOSH-IC100 High Performance Indoor Cycling Shoe

One of the user questions asked about cleats and the reply was yes they came with cleats . Not so and nowhere does it state you have to buy a cleat adapter for SPD cleats or that you need to buy your own SPD-SL cleats. Thanks a lot for another delay. Shoes are to be used only indoors as stated in the included multi language brochure. Did not come with clips; brochure states they need SM-SH40 cleat adapter sold separately for SPD usage.

I've found shimano shoes to be about a half US size larger than claimed in men's sizes. This is also true for the SH-IC100. In rstreet shoes, I wear a 9 1/2 US. In Sidi, 43 1/2 EU. The SH-IC100 fits perfectly in the "US 8.5-9" The insole is marked "43" in this shoe.The ventilation is about as good as you're going to get in a road shoe. Mesh upper, plenty of holes on the outsole. The insole is also perforated. Unfortunately, the insole is completely flat so I swapped these for my preferred budget custom insole (green Specialized Body Geometry). That is not perforated so will block the airflow from below. But, to be honest, you'd have to have a dedicated fan on your feet to actually achieve airflow on the feet.The ankle area feels more like an aqua sock than a bike shoe. Very flexible and comfy. The sole is plenty stiff. A bit more like a MTB shoe than a road shoe but fine for indoor training. Strap system is of course not as tuneable as a more complex sitem with 2 or 3 separate adjusters but fine for this purpose. The secret here is that if the shoe fits you in the first place, you don't need a half a dozen straps, rachets and wires to get it adjusted.I suppose you could wear them outdoors but the bottom does not have the typical grippers front and back so not ideal.They do not come with cleats but are threaded both for SPD 2 bolt and SPD-SL (Look) 3 bolt.

Super lightweight and just what I needed for spinning. Sole is very sturdy enabling you to push right through the uphill portions of your rides. I can’t recommend these any higher.

Nowhere in the shoe description does it mention that you need a separate part for SPD cleats, the SM-SH40 cleat adapter. To add insult to injury, these cleats are currently out of stock on REI and can't be found on Amazon. If they had mentioned this in the item description, I could have already ordered that part. It's doubly a shame as there are cheaper shoes elsewhere that come with pre-installed cleats. It doesn't make sense for me to splurge on a cycling shoe, however cute it is, and then need another not-mentioned part.

These work great for indoor cycling. Stiff soles and quick on/off. My only complaint is how the sizing is presented. I wear a 45 in my Shimano road shoes. Selecting for my US size 11, I had no idea what would arrive. They are 46’s. They will work for inside, but would be a bit too big for outdoors. Please be more clear on the EU sizing.

I purchased a few different shoes to try with our new peloton and well I like these they just didn’t fit nearly as well as the less expensive version of the same brand. The RC 100 was less expensive but I thought a much nicer and more comfortable fitting shoe.

I am a true 5.5. I got the 5.5-6 which came as 37 EU. Fits perfect

I bought this to use solely for riding indoor. No regrets whatsoever. Very comfortable and breathable. The straps make it fully adjustable for any type of foot
