My New Go To Coffee For Cold Brewing
This brand of coffee is excellent for cold brewing. I am particular, but this is my wife's favorite and she is picky, so this is the only brand I use for cold brewing coffee. The lower acidity level apparently makes the big difference in cold brewing vs. hot. My favorite "hot' coffee brand just doesn't taste as good when I use it for cold brewing in a pinch. I got Stone Street's ground coffee originally as a gift from my daughter and it is very good; but I prefer buying whole bean coffee and take the time and grind it myself right before I brew it. The little extra effort means the difference between very good and exceptional coffee in my opinion. I also recommend a good metal storage container like Coffee Gator offers that allows the container to off-gas and the coffee remains fresh for a LONG time. Stone Street's 2 Lb. whole Bean Bags allows off-gassing but they are not resealable after opening. Doesn't matter to me since I store my coffee in Coffee Gator Storage Containers. BTW Coffee Gator's Hand Cranked Burr Grinder is very good too. I'm recommending just so you can make the most of this excellent coffee down to the last cup.

Chocolatey, Sweet and smooth
The title of best beans for cold brew goes to stone street! My Fiancé got me a bag of beans as a gift since I’m a cold brew fanatic. She knows I like to grind my beans fresh, so was given whole beans. Went with my tried and true recipe/technique for making cold brew and was amazed at the flavor profile. Virtually no bitterness once made to strength. Has the expected chocolatey, rich, darker notes, but with such low acidity and bitterness commonly associated with darker roasts, has a natural sweetness to it. If you know you know. I’ve been exclusively been brewing using these beans now for a few months, and resulting coffee has been great every time. There’s something to be said about technique and recipe, but it all starts with a good bean, and stone street’s cold brew reserve is a great bean!

The absolute best cold brew!
I am obsessed with cold brew and to save money I try to make it at home as much as possible. Of all the beans I’ve tried these are the absolute best, I haven’t tried anything other than the dark cold brew. It’s made for New Yorkers, and it is deliciously strong. When I was fasting I drank it black and it was better than other black coffee, but I truly love it with some Chobani sweet cream and SF salted caramel, I have coworkers asking for some all the time. Since I’m officially committing to stone street I bought the 5 lb bag off of their site. My cold brew tips: •buy whole beans, a burr grinder (I have the Mr coffee) you get more for your money •Every cold brew maker I’ve used has had the sludge at the bottom, I don’t know if there’s a way around it so I get pour over coffee filters and filter my cold brew into large glass containers. Keeps longer IMO

Very fresh and very awesome beans for cold brew
First things first - just a sniff of this bag of the beans is all you need. One sniff it all it takes to know this is some incredible coffee, and will be especially so for cold brew. It has such a warm, yet bright aroma, a bit chocolatey, yet still somewhat bold. The bag of beans I received was incredibly fresh, to the point that the beans had that "just roasted" look to them. I would not say that I am a coffee snob, but I like a flavorful cup of coffee, whether it is made with my AeroPress or something I buy at a coffee shop. I also know that a great cup starts with fresh beans, and the bag I received was fresher than anything I have ever bought at the store, and on par with the house and espresso blend beans I have purchased from big name coffee shops like Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks. I wish the photo I uploaded would do the bag justice, as the light reflecting off the fresh beans was mostly filtered out by camera postprocessing. This coffee was ground from its fresh, bean form into a medium-coarse grind for use in a cold brew coffee maker. The precise cold brew coffee maker can be found here: Airtight Cold Brew Coffee Maker - 1 Quart Sealing Iced Coffee Maker - Glass Pitcher with Removable Filter I fill up the coffee basket in my cold brew maker about 2/3 to 3/4 of the way with grounds and submerge it in the cold brew maker with about 24 ounces of water in it, then top it off from the top as needed. I let it sit in the fridge for 18-24 hours, then pour what I take in to work into a glass container to keep it fresh and clear of other fridge flavors. I typically pour 6 ounces of cold brew into a mug with ice, then add about two ounces of water to dilute it.

Great for cold brew
I specifically purchased this brand after doing some online research, for making cold brew coffee. I find the flavor perfect for my morning coffee. One aspect of cold brew is the lack of acid, due to nothing more than room temperature water to brew the coffee. But the flavor of this is wonderful, I am sold.
