I bought this as a gift for a friend. This kit is great for someone who would like to develop their drawing skills. She loved it!

I bought this as a Christmas present for my niece. She lives to draw and color and since she's into that I was looking for something similar than this. Her father my brother bought her a laptop and all Christmas day my niece was drawing and sketching with her aunt present. It has all the essentials to do everything a real artist can do. Love how organize plus the bag that is in keeps everything clean and neat. She loves it so much. I'm so happy with this product and I recommend it 100%. Any questions feel free to ask. Initial Review: I received the drawing set as promised, however the double pencil sharpener was missing. I contacted H&B about the missing piece and they made good with no hassle. The set looks solid and well made, and pretty much everything I will need to get started on my new drawing career (haha I'm 71).Updated review 12/7/20: now that I have been using the set for a number of drawings, about 6 or 7, I’m starting to have some problems with a couple of the pencils. The 4B lead was broken inside the casing, 2 breaks so far. The 6B lead is worse with 4 internal breaks, and I’ve hardly used it. I’m nervous about what else I might find going forward, but I can understand a bad batch of product since you can’t see inside the wood to detect problems beforehand.It’s hard to find individual 4B & 6B pencils to replace the bad ones.

This is an excellent sketch set for a great price. Bought as a gift for my 10 year old daughter for Christmas, so she won't have a chance to use it before I post this review, so my review will be based on everything BUT use.Set comes in a sturdy zippered case with seperate sections for each utensil. The elastic that holds in each seperate piece is nice and tight, so nothing will be shaken loose while carrying. There's a nice array of pencils of different varieties, pencil extenders, erasers, blending tools and sharpeners. I don't know enough about sketching, so I can't get too specific on each tool, but the listing does a great job at explaining each.For a 10 year old and someone just starting out, I think this is a great basic set that should cover her needs. I will be removing the blade, because blade, but everything else is perfect. Hopefully she'll get lots of use out of this.

My 13 year old artist tells me she loves the variety of pencils and other materials in this set. She is able to choose pencils with varying lead-hardness to shade her creations. She loves the erasers for fading or correcting and the sharpener is good quality. The one thing she wishes was part of this set is an eraser-brush.
