Good manners make others around you comfortable.
This book would be kept next to the Bible.

This book is phenomenal. I’ve read it twice now, it now has a permanent home in my travel bag.
I loved every bit of it. The way the author speaks immediately grabbed my attention, like if you were to just walk past a celebrity you enjoy, I paid undivided attention through all hours of the night reading this.

Promotes Kindness, Politeness, and Appropriateness as a Lifestyle
This book promotes kindness, politeness, and appropriateness as a lifestyle. The situations, of course, are entirely outmoded -- almost 100 years old -- but an intelligent reader can read between the lines to discern the appropriate, polite, and kind way to behave in contemporary situations. Simply because of my own interests, I particularly like Mrs. Post's observations on style and dress; her comments about fashion are spot-on, even for the 21st century. Because of changes in dress over the course of the 20th century, her list of clothing appropriate for a well-bred man can be used even for a contemporary woman to build her own wardrobe -- with reading between the lines and discernment, of course.

Not the real thing
The book itself isn't horrible and sets a good foundation for why etiquette and all the actings are important but this is not the original book of etiquette by Emily Post. I did buy the kindle version and that was only $0.99 so that's why I'm not super upset abbout it but again this is technically not what I paid for. The version that I ended up buying was actually by a guy from London who added in his own information to the book.

A great read.
It is a slimmed down version of the classic I grew up with and still own. Bought it for my niece because she kept stealing my copy
