Easy to install as long as you know what you're doing. If you've never installed a doorknob before, search for a DIY video.Only one install step that should be done differently: it says to install inside portion of knob, then connect wires; swap those steps around. You need baby size fingers if you try to connect the wires after installing the knob.Once you have the app, it's easy to add the lock and program codes, cards, and fingerprints.A nice feature is an alert and loud beeping if the fingerprint is rejected around 4 times (found that out with my son's fingerprint) so you'll know if someone is trying to unlock your door that isn't supposed to.Get a gateway if you want the ability to unlock it remotely. You're able to unlock via the app without a gateway, but you have to be in the vicinity of the lock to do so.The app is easy to use and understand, and setup is a breeze.Highly recommend this lock. I got one of the same brand but different model second hand for my garage, fell in love with it, so had to get one for the house as well.

I bought this to keep my kids out of my room. Set up took a minute but it was easy. I had to redo it as I didn’t set it to L the first time so I couldn’t open the door. I keep a card above my door for emergencies and set up only the finger print for myself and my boyfriend. It opens instantly and neither of us have any issues. The app works great and it’s nice to be able to unlock my door remotely if I don’t want to go unlock it myself. I purposely did not set a pin so the kids can’t guess it and get in. I am very happy with this and will 100% use smart locks in the future.

They make me download another app. That it doesn't have to do nothing with the original one. Then a few months after the doorknob started. Mal functioning again now I'm completely locked out out of my house. They are not responsible enough to provide me with a refund or a good replacement for the item. And on top of that, they are still allowed to be selling and to be lying to people about the.Item.

I installed 4 of these in our office so that our staff can more easily get in and out of their offices. Our building is on a master key system with several master keys out and about, so we wanted to do something that would bring a greater level of security to private offices while still allowing the appropriate people access.Some things worth noting:1) Those who have said the documentation is lacking for installation instructions are correct. There are parts bags in the box marked with steps, which can help, but all in all the product is lacking sufficient instructions. However, I found it extremely easy to install without instructions. I was able to get them installed quickly. If you're the least bit handy, you won't have a problem.2) The fingerprint scanner works pretty well. I'm an iPhone user and the fingerprint setup is a lot like Touch ID on iPhones with a home button. My advice is to add a couple "different" fingerprint options that are the same finger in a few different configurations. This ensures that regardless of the angle your finger touches the sensor, it'll pick up on something it recognizes and prevent failed attempts.3) I do find that i have to tap and poke on the screen a few times before it will light up and accept number entries. If you're using one of the many other features to access the door then this probably won't be a big deal for you. It's not a dealbreaker or anything, but it would be frustrating if you were standing in the rain or something and trying to get in the door.4) The RFID tags that are supplied say "That's what she said" and "She said yes." I died laughing because I'm an Office fan and immediately thought of Michael Scott. I have no idea why they say this, but they do work well.5) If you want to manage the locks remotely or receive push notifications when someone unlocks a door, then you'll need the wifi gateway. I currently have 4 locks added to a single gateway that's as centrally located as possible between all the locks. It works well and I like the notifications when someone unlocks a door, but you can edit the notifications to meet your preferences.6) You can turn the sound on the locks on or off. I have them turned off, which was actually and important feature for me. If you're wondering about that, then yes, it's possible!7) There is a metal oval on the top of the lock on the outside. Since the documentation isn't all that great I couldn't figure out what it was for. If you press on the right side of the oval, you'll discover that it's a small piece of metal that is affixed to the top of the lock with a magnet. Underneath is the key hole and a micro USB port for (as another reviewer stated) powering the lock in the event the batteries die. I will say that the app does display battery levels for each lock, so if you're on top of things you shouldn't have that issue. We gave one key to each staff member and put the other in a centralized location for safekeeping. The key would be the easiest way in if the lock batteries died.All in all, this is a really solid smart lock. The TTLock app is not super flashy or polished, but it functions very well. I'm not sure how this would hold up in an exterior setting, but they do claim they can be used outside. If you're looking for a smart lock with lots of options, then this is the one! I wouldn't hesitate to buy more for our building if needs arise.

I have a couple of apartments listed on AirBnB and, by far, this is the most energy efficient (it’s battery operated), easy to install & operate, and reliable electronic Key Lock I know of…you can use a 6 digit code, link it to your phone, have temporary and permanent codes, used a card or, in the event of an emergency, use the master key…simply the best!

While I was very ident and secure in this door knob, I’m disappointed that it didn’t last even two years. The Knob started sliding on the door a couple of months ago and today the only way to open the door is to level it up because it won’t stay in place. I will be ordering another keyless entry door knob, but it won’t be this one.
