Feels like I’m cheating
I’m 5’10 and weigh around 245-250. I gave up on running years ago in favor or weightlifting. I’ve basically been on a dirty bulk for years and figured it’s time to get back into running for my health. I’ve never been a good runner but I understand the need for good running shoes and I see them as an investment. I keep most of my gym shoes (usually ASICS brand) for about a year so I’m hoping these last that long. Being as heavy as I am, I wanted shoes that would allow me to run without feeling like I was ruining my knees/shins. I ordered a 10.5 wide and I don’t necessarily have wide feet but I don’t like my toes being squished together. These felt a little tight at first but they just needed to be broken in a little and then I didn’t give the fit a second thought. I could tell that these shoes felt better than any I’ve ever had just from walking into the gym. I figured I should ease into my treadmill runs, so I started at 5.5mph. At that speed, I didn’t feel anything special and started to think that the shoes weren’t all that great. I started to get that dreadful feeling of being bored as hell, so I cranked up the speed to 6.5mph and I started to feel the shoes come into their element. Suddenly, I felt like they were propelling me forward and I kept bumping into the front of the treadmill so I went to 7mph. This still wasn’t fast enough so I went to 7.5mph and now my big ass was coasting on the treadmill with a small grin on my face. It felt like I was cheating in some way. Like I should not able to be running that fast for the 1.5miles I did. I wasn’t hating my life either. I actually enjoyed it so much that I decided to write this review. These shoes were so good to me right out of the box that I want to invest in other more advanced running shoes to feel how far shoe designs have come in the years since I gave up running. After the run, I went to hit the weights and almost went for another run afterwards. Maybe I didn’t give myself enough credit and my ability wasn’t as bad as I thought, but I honestly think these shoes did all the work. It was such a satisfying feeling. Anyway, these shoes are worth the money and will probably be great for you unless you’re a pro or you run everyday because then I’m sure you already have your preferred running shoes.

Perfect running shoe, great support
I've been using Brooks Glycerin shoes for over 10 years, moved over from New Balance. The Glycerin model provides the perfect support (I'm approx. 190 lbs) for a neutral runner. I typically run 50k per week and will use the shoes for up to one year (I have two pair). I've tried other shoes, for me the Glycerin is still the perfect running shoe.

A tad bit smaller than the size I ordered
I've been buying Brooks Glycerin running shoes for years. This particular pair, while good, is a bit smaller than usual for some reason. Not quite a size smaller, but definitely a bit on the small side. Otherwise, great shoes.

It’s an ok shoe
Pretty much what I expected from this shoe. It seems comfortable and has a nice cushion. My problem is that on other shoes I’ve had and I have had many have more padding in the Achilles tendon area. These shoes blistered me on both tendons after a 3 mile run. That has not happened to me in a very long time

Worth the money
I usually buy a different/more expensive model of Brooks (I’m a fan of their shoes). Unfortunately the pair I wanted were temporarily sold out, so I went with this cheaper version. I was pleasantly surprised that they are just as comfortable and fit well.

Great All Around Comfortable Shoes
These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I use to be a Nike fan until now. This is my second pair to purchase. Now I have 1 pair for home and 1 for work. My wife even liked them so much that she bought her a pair also. Different styles of Brooks fit different though so you may want to go try some on at your local shoe store. Of course these are the most expensive style but worth every penny.

Most Comfortable Sneaker Out There
Great cushioning - Hands down, the most comfortable sneaker I've ever put on my feet.

Good for seniors
As I move towards my mid-60’s, I’m finding road running a bit jarring on feet and hips. I researched running shoes for mature runners and many websites recommend these. They certainly have more support and give than my current Nike trainers. Next Park Run on Saturday and I’m sure my hips will thank me.

Beware of Charges
Item is fine but surprised to get an invoice from Fed Ex for import charges of £40.00. Contacted seller who said should of been obvious and nowhere to disclose charge on Amazon site...even though price paid included shipping charges. Amazon agreed to refund if I paid the charge as wrong of the seller to charge. Rather than pay took it up with Fed Ex who agreed I had bee wrongly charges and raised a credit against the charge. They were going to re-issue to the correct party for payment. NB Seller also used full cost to Fed Ex to assess the charge even though this included VAT and shipping. Should have been base cost! Will not use this seller again so be aware.

Maybe I had a bad pair
I have run on Glycerin for years, but the 19's were terrible. Ankle fit wasn't good, blisters and hip issues. I retired them with less than 100km on them; so, I gave them a fair go despite the issues.Thankfully the 20's are as good as the 18's, 17's, 16's etc. My advice: - if you like the Glycerin, go for anything but the 19's.Of course, I may have just had bad pair.

Comfy but painful at first!
I needed some decent trainers for walking and google came up with these, which were well reviewed elsewhere. And they are very comfortable, although the back of the shoe is much higher than my previous trainers and chafed the back of both heels badly, at first. It took about a week to sort out, after which everything has been fine; I don't feel I can really gie more than three stars because of this, though the problem may of course be down to me, rather than the shoes! They are sturdy, with a good strong sole and flexible upper

Excellent distance shoes
Super plush but not heavy feeling. Well reviewed on other sites and certianly live up to the promise. Tons of toe room and sturdy construction so looking forward to using these for the coming months.
