This is my favorite shelf I've ever bought and it genuinely fills me with joy at how pretty it looks filled with books in my office. The gold is amazing and it holds a lot of weight.Plus it's pet friendly with the anchors. My cat has already tested it by jumping her chunky but up to the middle shelf and those anchors did their job and brought it right back to where it needed to be.Loved it so much I bought it in black too for my husband's office.

I am very very proud of this bookshelf, it is always very hard to be the first one trying to buy something that has got no reviews with photos of the colour I wanted whatsoever. Well, this time it really paid off. I wanted something clean, but classic, modern but not too edgy industrial looking. I cannot believe how sturdy this shelf actually is - when the box arrived I thought that there was no way the weight of my books would be safely supported... I was wrong. The crisscrossing pole that runs on both shelves is all the support you need. Remember to anchor the shelf onto the wall!I like how aesthetically pleasing it looks in my room - I can easily swap things around for seasonal festivities, include photos, mini paintings, all my incense etc. I am very pleased with the colours - it's a warm matte black, the shelves themselves have grey undertones. It both stands out and blends in easily. I have received many compliments, and would wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone who has the right space.The instruction leaflet was step-by-step and very easy to follow. all the needed tools and screws are provided and clearly labelled (it took me 1.5hrs to assemble both). :) The package itself was in great condition and every element of the furniture was protected. wow.
