Functional, fast, comfortable to hold and to use, light, quiet, cuts better than anything else ... get the picture yet?
Without hesitation, this is the best beard trimmer I have ever used at any price point. I've gone through so many beard trimmers that I ended up not using because they were too awkward to hold, didn't cut smoothly, or weighed a metric ton. This little thing--which weighs little more than one of my disposable razors--makes fast duty of that weekly beard trim. And it does it without pulling or picking at the hairs, and only makes a quiet buzzing sound as it works. To boot, the device is actually comfortable to hold, encased in a grippy alien green rubberized coating that is easy to hold, even when wet (and, yes, the device is waterproof). Philips says the blade vibrates at 200 vibrations per second, and I think that might be right, based on the performance this thing turns out. The trimmer comes with three different plastic beard guides that snap onto the head for different cutting lengths. Since I generally maintain my beard at the same length, I have one of the attachments that stays on the trimmer, and the other two I keep in a box somewhere. However, another nice touch is that you can easily pop off the beard guide and use the blade itself to do precise cuts under the nose or really anywhere. (You can even, for a very, very short stubble cut, trim with the top side of the cutter flat on the face, rather than turning it sideways.) And, yes, if you want a complete trim (no beard), and are willing to accept the slightest amount of stubble or less, this unit will act as a razor blade. You won't get the complete hair removal of a traditional blade cut, but it will be close. You simply put the flat side of the cutter flat against your face, and go back and forth. You can do this either dry or with soap/shaving creme. It's actually pretty extraordinary that a device like this can cut so close. (Just a couple of years ago, I gave serious attention to a $300 shaver after going through multiple $150 - $200 shavers, and, boy, am I glad I did not take the plunge: this one is SO much better.) For $35, it's the beard bargain of the century. I almost effortlessly trim my beard now that I have this, no more worrying about position, direction, etc. You have to replace the blade every three months or so, but I've been using mine for months now, and still haven't changed the blade once (I cut once per week, for about two minutes.) The replacement blades ( Philips Norelco OneBlade Replacement Blade, 2 Count , QP220/80 ) run about $12 each, and, depending on the amount of cutting you do, might last longer than the recommended three-month cycle. I HIGHLY recommend it. This is nothing short of an amazing device, and at its price, it is a SEVEN-star item, not just a five.

My Favorite Electric Shaver/Trimmer
I have been using this electric shaver since 2017, and still have my original unit, which still works great. I am very prone to razor burn, so have been using electric shavers for most of my adult life. That being said, I own or have owned many different electric shavers from different manufacturers and price points (~$30 - ~$300), so I feel very qualified to weigh in on this unit. This shaver, in my opinion, is one of the best electric shavers that I have used/owned, if not the best. I regularly change up how I style my facial hairโฆ alternating between a regular clean shave, a full blown beard, and many styles in between. No matter what look Iโm going for I pretty much always use this shaver to achieve it. There are several different size guards that are included which work great, and I have also gotten very used to maneuvering the trimmer head itself to achieve my desired look. I mentioned that I get terrible razor burn from conventional razors - my skin is so sensitive that even high-end electric razors (like my Braun) will still give me razor burn, though not nearly as bad as with a regular razor. That said, I almost never get any razor burn from this unitโฆ and if I do get a little bit itโs usually because Iโm rushing and being overly rough. Skin irritation from using this is little-to-none for my very sensitive skin, and is easier on my sensitive skin than any other razor that I have ever used, electronic or otherwise. The shaver heads, in my experience, typically last me several months, and when it is time to replace the head there is a green stripe that slowly becomes visible to give a visual indication that it should be replaced. Considering how long they last, how well they work, and the convenience I think the replacement heads are more than fair when it comes to price. Also, as I mentioned I still have and use the original unit that I bought in 2017 (5 years old as of writing this review). I use it pretty much daily, travel with it, has been dropped, maybe a bit mistreated, but still works as good as new. So, definitely 5* when it comes to longevity. I could go on, but overall, whether wanting to have a clean shave daily or maintain various styles of facial hair, this is my go-to, and favorite electric shaver that I have ever owned. I have also recommended or gifted to friends & family and everyone that Iโve introduced this product to has been equally happy with it. Could not be more satisfied with this product - highly recommend!

What and amazing shaving tool !
Wow ! What an amazing razor. I bought this because I thought it would be handy for traveling and it is certainly perfect for traveling light. The most amazing part is this little razor goes way beyond that, and has become my everyday razor, replacing my expensive rechargeable electric razor, my mustache-beard trimmer, and my wet, disposable double blade razors.. It's is a true hybrid system that functions better than most electric razors because it can cut longer hair than most electric razors. It also functions as an excellent beard and mustache trimmer for shaping and defining clean, crisp edges. Of course, if you really want a close smooth shave you will have to use a conventional wet/foam blade razor, and risk all the nicks and cuts. And I must admit, there are times when I prefer that clean close shave that only a wet/foam blade razor can give. I have a mustache and goatee as well as I shave my head bald. I don't shave every day, so after a few days growth, by my hair is too long to cut with a conventional electric razor. That is where the OneBlade shines....I have always had to use a small battery powered clipper to trim my trim my facial hair, trim and ouline my mustache and beard, as well as cut the hair on my head short enough for my electric razor to finish cutting the hair close enough. With the OneBlade, I can easily do it all with just one tool...the OneBlade. It easily trims my hair down as close in one step as my clipper and electric razor did in two steps...taking twice the time. The OneBlade does not shave as close as a conventional single or double blade razor...but it is as good or better than most electric razors. And it also cuts long hair that your electric razor can't.

Fan-damn-tastic shaver and trimmer!
Received my OneBlade today, just in time to get rid of the No Shave November beard and hair. What would have normally required a 90's era Panasonic trimmer (the Japanese-made general purpose 'weedwhacker' to take everything down to razor-length) - a new five-blade razor cartridge (for the face, chin and neck) and a new twin-blade cartridge for the Headblade (the shiny noggin-scraper) plus a half-bottle of Kiss My Face shaving cream turned into a one towel (draped over the sink bowl) - one device (OneBlade) - 15 minute hair stripping experience that couldn't have been more satisfying unless it included hot towels and Mimosas. If this thing holds up to normal use and continues to perform at the same level, I'm all in on the system for keeps! It took no time at all to get used to the device and adapt it to my coarse facial hair - against advice, I took the majority of the growth off using downward strokes against the direction of growth and then, after a quick rinse and dry, I used the leading edge against the growth to finish the job. The results were so good that I decided to try it out on the old turnip (which I've been shaving with a Headblade for 15 years or so) and, even though the instructions caution against using it on your 'scalp', the same approach gave me similar results. No grabs, no nicks, no scrapes - a pretty fine head shave - not razor smooth, but perfectly clean and tidy all the same. Very little razor burn at all and what little I have (mainly the back of the neck) is less than what I'd normally experience when a traditional blade got slightly dull or nicked up. Color me pretty impressed on first use. That's probably the only reason I'm not able to to make this a 5 star review - durability and longevity are pretty important to me, so it's unfair to rate a device like this on just the first experience. But if it works like it does six months from now, I'll probably edit this review and add that star - I'm that impressed on the first go.

I am very happy with the OneBlade
I am very happy with the OneBlade. As background, I have sensitive skin and also have a skin condition that can flare up which makes shaving in my chin and mustache area very uncomfortable--a regular razor will usually take off the top layer of inflamed skin leaving red blotches that take a few days to heal up. As a result, I have shaved less and less over the years (difficult to do as a lawyer), and have a long and complicated system of shaving that usually involves trimming with a wahl trimmer to a shorter length, hot towel, shaving oil, badger brush, shave soap, safety razor, and multiple careful pases, followed by alum and aftershave. It is a huge pain. Plus, I would usually shave the night before due to the length of this routine and the fact that my skin would usually be pretty irritated after shaving, and wearing a shirt and tie would usually irritate my neck. So a lot of work, and I would have 8 hours of growth by the time I got dressed. As for my beard, I would say it is average--not super coarse and thick, but not thin or spotty. The trickiest spots for me to shave is usually my throat area, where I have whiskers growing in all different directions and there are some tight spots that I frequently nick trying to get a clean shave. I saw an online ad for this, and checked out some videos and amazon reviews before purchasing. I went into it thinking that even if I had to shave with a razor when I needed to be 100% clean shaven, I would still be happy with this product if I didn't make any skin flare ups worse and could keep my sideburns trimmed and neat. After my first shave, I am not sure if I need to use anything but the OneBlade. First, I expirmented by shaving part of my face dry, part wet in the shower, and part with shaving cream. I would say that I preferred the dry shave of all three. As a wet shaver, I think you need more than just water, as the directions say to use long passes. Personally, with the shaver and my skin wet. I had a hard time making long passes before I started getting some friction. The shaving cream reduced this friction. I am sure shaving oil might also work well. But this thing worked real good as a dry shaver, so essentially I am not sure if it is worth shaving with water or cream/oil/soap unless you just are dead set on shaving in the shower. The hair accumulates on the top of the blade even when you shave dry, so it does not get everywhere. There is definitely some clean up involved, but it is not bad compared to most electric clippers. After spending about a total 5 minutes shaving (which is way less than my usual routine), I looked completely clean shaven. If I really rubbed against the grain, I am not baby's butt smooth, but it is pretty darn close. It is pretty easy to use, you just lay it flat against your face, and shave with an emphasis of putting the top edge of the bade into the grain. Usually, I do not even attempt to shave against the grain with a razor for fear of irritation. I did it all over my face with the OneBlade with zero discomfort. One thing to note, you can nick yourself, especially if you have anything raised on your skin. I am sure there are ways to navigate around this as you get more comfortable using the OneBlade. As a shaver, I am very impressed with this product. It exceeded my expectations. Now for the downsides. First, you are going to be stuck buying blades for this thing. The initial cost of 35 bucks seemed reasonable, but blades are ~10-15 a piece. They say you can get 4 months out of one, but I cannot weigh in on that estimate yet. I think using water will cause the blade to break down quicker. It is also pretty delicate. I would be careful packing this thing for travel and would be careful where I store it as the tip is pretty dainty plastic. The unit does not have a light or anything on it to indicate battery life. Seems like it would have been easy to put an indicator on there, especially since it takes 8 hours to charge and will not work when plugged in. I think frankly the biggest con is the cost of replacement blades. But, for me, it is not much of a difference in what I was already spending between a razors (which were cheap for my safety razor), but shave oil, shaving cream, brush (I usually get about 2-3 years out of a brush), alum block, etc. I did use aftershave aver using this and probably will continue to do so. Also, I think that if you have a very thick beard, then this may not get as close as you want if you want a very clean shaven look. Some additional advantages are that I think this product would be excellent for body hair and for guys who shave their head, but clearly you will blow through replacement blades faster. That being said, there is no doubt a versatile product. For me, the OneBlade gives me a cleanly shaven look, and did not irritate my sensitive skin. Plus it greatly reduced the length of my shaving routine. For me, this thing has "wonder product" status right now I am extremely impressed. I will try to remember to update my review in a few months so I can discuss how long the blade lasted and whether any negatives have come to light with more use. But right now, if you are considering buying this, I would give it a go.

Glad This Came Along
This was for the man of the house and he's who wrote this review. For anyone that wants a clean, almost precise beard trimmer, this trimmer is very good. Very good. Best, affordable one I've found so far. Norelco seems to have paid attention to user feedback. Excellent grip-handle. Precise front and back edge blade-trimmer. Excellent cutting power. Superb battery charge-life. Easy to get replacement blades which you should keep up with. Lightweight but substantial enough to let you know you have a working tool. No chrome-shine or bulk-parts that get in your line of sight. The flat part of the blade works well for rough-stuble maintenance and trimming down longer hair. Just take your time, learn how to use it (front-back-top of blade) and you will be able to do anything you want to. It does not replace a close, clean shave: this is a tool to shape and maintain facial hair. Glad this came around. Was getting tired of using other brands that dulled quickly, really didn't do the job and were wonky to use. ***Update*** 10/11/2016 (after 2 months use)Without putting my opinion about the experience in, I will just tell you that after I registered the product on Philips website and received confirmation that I had successfully registered; to get a discount my login error'd-out and when I attempted to use the online chat feature to resolve it, both attempts in a 24 hour period were unsuccessful. I then tried calling in and after being put on eternal hold I dropped it. I wasn't aware than anyone got paid for their comments regarding this specific product. I sure didn't. As I said above, it's not a replacement for a clean shave. It's just a styling tool.

OneBlade: Revolutionizing Shaving
Upon ordering this product, I was extremely skeptical. It didnโt seem like it would be a great option for trimming hair. In fact, I thought the productโs best feature would only be for hair trimming. However, upon using for about a week, the OneBlade has completely exceeded all of my expectations. To start, the OneBlade is a great trimmer. Although there are only three combs, the lengths were suitable for me (1,3,5 mm combs). It does take a few passes to make sure you get an even clip; however, this is standard protocol for all trimmers. It does feel like this trimmer gives a better and more even trim. It also works wonderfully for body hair! So, if I was skeptical at the hair trimming, I was extremely skeptical at itโs shaving capabilities. I started with dry and it gave a fairly close shave. You could still feel hair, but the hair was completely unnoticeable. (I donโt have particularly coarse hair, so this may vary from person to person.) I gave the wet shave an option (using a shaving cream, as well) and it was amazing! In my opinion, it provides just as close of a shave as my Harryโs razor for the fact that I can shave against the grain with no repercussions! It allows to give multiple passes in one spot easily, allowing for a close shave. The best part is without a doubt that my neck does NOT feel torn up after shaving now. I can without a doubt say this is the best trimmer and โrazorโ Iโve ever owned. I have gone through lots of different trimmers (mainly Philips) and this is by far their best product ever! Theyโve revolutionized the shaving game with this one!

A breakthrough for those with sensitive skin - 6 stars out of 5
This is by far the best shaving-related purchase I have ever made. Let me explain why: Ever since high school, due to chronic issues with skin irritation and ingrown hairs (not acne), I have experimented with countless razors, trimmers, and skin products. All in all, I have spent hundreds of dollars of looking for for the right product, including manual razors, electric razors, electric trimmers, facial soaps, shaving creams, shave balms, after shaves, and "anti bump defense" products. Recently, I purchased a Feather safety razor ($150) after reading that this type of shaving might help with skin irritation. The problem is this - I have dark, thick facial hair which grows very quickly, and after any shave my skin becomes extremely irritated and breaks out due to ingrown hairs. I currently work in a corporate job, and so shaving frequently and looking clean cut is very necessary. Until now, I had settled for using a trimmer on my facial hair, and then maintaining the upper cheeks and neck by shaving with a manual razor (not ideal). The OneBlade is completely different from any of the above products, and without trying to sound over the top, it has changed my life. Basically, it is a facial trimmer that cuts extremely close to the face - just short of actually shaving. For me, this is perfect because while it is NOT as close as a clean shave, it gives the appearance of a clean shave, and is extremely mild on the skin. In fact, if it were any closer, I imagine it would cause the same issues as electric razors (i.e. irritation and ingrown hairs). I have never in my life had such a pleasurable shaving experience. It is just as painless as an electric trimmer, but it cuts closer to the skin. Even an old-fashioned safety razor, which does produce quite a comfortable shave, in my experience still causes ingrown hairs about a day later. I have seen negative reviews for this products, and I think the main problem is expectations and marketing. If you are looking to shave, then by a razor. If you are looking to trim your beard, buy a trimmer. But if you have sensitive skin and are looking for an alternative to shaving, buy the OneBlade. Pros: - Price. If we are talking value, I would have easily paid $350 for this razor (i.e. 10x what it is selling for). It's hard to put a price on something so life changing. - Design. Easy to use, waterproof, easy to hold and maneuver. - Battery & Blade. I've had the OneBlade for roughly 3 months and have had no issues with the battery or blade. I use it about 3 times per week. Am expecting that I will need new blade soon. - Wet or dry. This is a huge plus that I don't need to spend money on shaving cream. I exclusively use the OneBlade dry, and it works great. Usually follow with an aftershave or moisturizer just to refresh my skin, not due to irritation. Cons: Should come with a carrying case, especially because the head seems like it could be damaged if dropped or thrown around in luggage. Note: I've seen reviews regarding the quality of the shave. In my experience this product works well if you do the following: First, hold the razor head flat on your skin - will work better than if you approach from an angle. Second, move against the grain - for me, my hair is not all in the same direction, so I often have to approach from different directions. Even though I have thick hair, and sometimes let it grow quite a bit before using the OneBlade, it always gives the same quality result. 6 stars out of 5. Thank you Philips Norelco for changing the game.

Best shaver ever
This is by far the best shaving machine I ever used! Gives a clean shave quickly and easily. Great for shaving the body as well. The combs so you can trim your beard are okayyy but other than that, worth every penny.

One blade is Great!
The product is as good as it is described, the 1st shave I had without a Foam or Gel, didn't feel the pinch & it was a Great shave as ever with a Mach3 or something like that. Good handling & nicely balanced one. Let's hope this continues further, because this is my 1st time shave with the product. Will be updating after some time.
