Sorta neat but not necessary
This review is for the Ottple Electric Scalp Massager Waterproof Shower Vibrate Massaging Shampoo Hair Brush Magic Rebbit Hand Held Design Blue. This shampoo brush is a unique item I knew I had to try out. I have very thick hair, and a lot of it. When I try to shampoo my hair, I can’t always get deep in the scalp. I go to a hair dresser to get my hair dyed and when they clean my hair, it always feels so wonderful to have them massage my scalp. The brush comes in a clear package with no batteries. It takes 2 AAA batteries, and you click the button on the head and open the middle. At first, I was a little worried about how “waterproof” this thing would really be. However, once I closed it up, it was able to keep the water out as long as you don’t “immerse” it in a tub of water. Using it in the shower really isn’t a problem though. The bottom has several rigid bristles that are hard plastic. The vibration on this is fairly decent. The top has sort of “rabbit ears” that are VERY easy to grasp in the water environment. The back has a large button that turns it on and off. I found that it didn’t really “massage” the shampoo into my scalp, more provided an overall massage to my head that any vibration item would do. It did feel good, but I don’t know if this item is really a necessity or even an item that really works as good as intended. It is sorta cool though, and on long work weeks when I immediately wake up with a headache at the thought of going to work – I will use this to see if I can relieve some tension in my head and scalp. 4/5 starsIf you have any questions please post below and I would be happy to answer! I received a free promotional sample of this item for my honest and unbiased review.

BEWARE!!! Read this detailed Review.
Got this product a few weeks ago as I have been losing Hair and learned massaging your scalp is one of the few ways to help keep/regain hair. The product is well designed, it's massaging tips are hard except for the very tip of the tips which are rubbery and bend nicely, I feel the tips are designed well. It slides over my scalp with shampoo quite smoothly (2-3 inch strand length), yet really feels like it is doing something, the vibration is quite evident. The Handle is also comfortable, the 'Bunny Ears' just slip nicely between fingers and the device is very easy to hold for 5-10 mins. The power button is located where your palm will be which works I guess, you will need to use your other hand to activate it. The Ottple can be opened by a SMaLL button on the front of the device. You simply hold it down and the whole bottom half (the side with the massaging tips) of the device pops off, now you have access to the two AAA batteries. NOW for the reason I gave this otherwise great product only 1 star, when I used it for the fourth time the device didn't turn on, I removed the battery cover and found water had made its way into the batteries. I dried it all off then put the batteries back and put the cover on properly again. It worked again but the following day it was wet inside again. Again I cleaned it out and put batteries back I did this a few more times till the inside was brown from battery acid and I could no longer get it to work. in total I may have had this product for 10 days before it ended up in the trash. The seal is junk, if it didn't leak I would give 5 stars. As this product is said to be waterproof I'd expect it to be, the fact it isn't is unacceptable! Certainly not worth what I paid which was full price...I hope this review was helpful to you, if so please leave click yes as it took a bit of time.

Comparison of Vitagoods and Ottple Scalp Massagers
I ended up buying both the Vitagoods and Ottple electric scalp massagers. Both got really good reviews and I bought this Ottple one first since it was a tad bit cheaper. However, I ended up buying a Vitagoods massager a little while ago because I wasn't happy with the Ottple. What's the difference? Which should you get? It all depends on your hair.Neither product description really gave measurements or other characteristics. So, here's what you should know:--The Ottple has slightly shorter "teeth" and the teeth are more rounded at the end that touches your scalp. I also found that it vibrated less strongly. I have a lot of hair on my head and it has texture (I'm an African American woman currently transitioning to natural hair.) So, for me the Ottple wasn't strong enough. And even when I parted my hair and used it, it just felt like it wasn't vibrating strongly or reaching my scalp well enough.-- The Vitagoods has slightly longer teeth that are also more pointed at the end. It also vibrates more aggressively. I actually felt like I was getting a nice scalp massage. It is what I need to get through my dense, textured hair. So, if you have hair that is not very dense and/or is relatively straight (or if you just have a sensitive scalp), the Ottple would be good for you. The Vitagoods would probably be too "harsh". If you're like me and have dense hair and/or a tight curl pattern, then the Vitagoods may be a better choice.Hope this helps.

Review Update
Previously I gave this massager 1 star because I was given a defective one that didn't work. Due to the quick and professional customer service I received from Julie I was sent a new massager to replace the defective one. After using for a week I can tell a huge difference in the health of my scalp and hair. This is definitely a must have especially for us naturalistas out there.I would love to give this more than 1 star but unfortunately the massager would not power on even after using brand new AAA batteries. Sad to say that I have to return it.

Mine was possessed...
After having this for a while... the honeymoon phase has worn off. One day I was in the kitchen and I hear this loud noise coming from the bathroom... after making sure the house wasn't possessed, I realized that this thing comes on by itself. Other than that I wish it vibrated more, when you use it with shampoo/ conditioner it really doesn't feel like much in your scalp. HOWEVER, that may be the result of not using more powerful batteries.
