A great informative book for your daughter coming of age.

Very happy I bought this for my 11 year Old. Very comforting book, it's a great way for a conversation started.

Written beautifully and very appropriate. I recommend reading this book together with your daughter.

A good way to introduce the subject with just the right amount of information. My daughter read it quickly, and we discussed. It is from the orthodox perspective, and we are conservative, so the section on modest dress needed some clarification. Made for a nice discussion about modesty and what guidelines we have in place.

Other books about reaching puberty and getting your period only describe the mechanics of the biological process. This book explains the spiritual significance according to Jewish law.

Perfect. Focuses on the girl, not sex...explains just enough and adds how the growing woman relates to Jewish spirituality. Also encourages modest dress.

I have read this book so i can give it to my daughter when i explain her period and body to her and this book is just perfect amount of information in the nicest way possible for a young jewish girl, i am really happy i bought it and will make good use of it for her and all her questions she may have are also answered in the back in a question answer form. Great book
