quality comparible to OEM
Everything was good, save the cotter pins. They were a little wimpy compared to the originals. But otherwise, the kit was a good maintenance item for a Snapper rear engine rider. By replacing these bushings frequently, and having good maintenance habits with the engine theses machines can last a long time. I am on year 17 with mine, and still runs like new.

Made my 28 rider steer correctly
My bushings were so bad on my SR1028 10 HP snapper rider that if I steered too tight it would steer over-center then Id have to go in reverse to correct, then continued to mow, This would happen many times mowing my yard. The kit came in today, so little extra time I replaced both tie rod end bushings, then the steering spindle bushings, Everything was lightly greased, one snap ring is in the yard somewhere, glad 2 were in the kit. After putting it together there were a couple of extra bushings unused so I decided to remove the steering wheel which was rusted in place, some blaster anti-rust took care of that. A 1/4" shear pin needs to be driven out of the steering wheel and cotter pins removed and pull the shaft from below, The extra bushing did not fit but an old steering one was used, I had to undo the inner tie rods to pull that shaft out. After it was put back together I went for a test drive and it steers so much better. THANKS

Rear Engine Snapper Maintence
I got the kit to replace to original steering bushings on my series 19 (1999) Snapper M280919B. All except the top bushing for the steering rod fit good. The one that did not was not the correct inner diameter. Also, the cotter pins supplied with the kit are smaller than the original ones so i just reused the ones I took off. You can only reuse cotter pins if you were they were not overly bent in the first place. You may also need a new roll pin (not supplied) if you remove the steering wheel to replace the lower bushing on the steering rod.I had contacted the supplier with the issues before posting this review but have yet to hear back from them.
