No have to use the pen that comes with it because it is magnet powder that is used to draw and needs the magnetic pen.

The different colors are built in. So as you draw...it changes as you go. Kids loved it.

القطعة جيدة ولكن كنت أتمنى تحوي على سبورة بيضاء في الخلف للكتابة عليها بالأقلام الخاصة بالسبورة والقابلة للمسح. أعتبر السعر مرتفع خصوصاً أنها لاتحوي فقط الا جهة واحدة للكتابة أو الرسم عليها ولانحوي على سبورة بيضاء في الخلف.

My 3 year old loves this toy. It keeps her very busy. However, she was so upset when bottom thing broke that erases the color (it somehow detached and wouldn’t work), but the seller was very nice to work with and sent me a replacement. I really appreciated that!
