Wonderful product!
A wonderful product. My wife has spoken about doing one of these for a long time. One day I saw an advertisement for these pop up on my newsfeed and figured it would be a great time to go ahead and order it. We’re coming up on year 22 soon and I thought it would be a great moment to share as well as something we would cherish. We’ve just completed our mold and we are so happy. We didn’t even bother with the practice one because the directions are excellent, nothing was left to guess. We thought we’d messed up the mold when we pulled our hands out which was a little difficult to do but once the cast was done we have a beautiful figure with incredible detail. The 2 pieces of advice I would give to anyone doing this would be to have the water a little warmer because it took a while for it to begin to set with colder water and when you pour in the plaster stop pouring where the wrist openings are. We mistakenly poured until the bucket was full and it made it difficult to remove and also made a disc on the bottom so, we can’t mount to the wooden base but, it has its own built in base this way so, not all bad.We love it so much we’re going to order 4 more and have our kids each do one.

Fantastic last minute gift idea for the wife that loves homemade gifts!
So it’s the holidays and I’m looking for a last minute additional gift, something I could hopefully make myself so it would be a little extra special. I come across the Hula hand casting kit for couples, would it work as advertised? The answer is yes! The kit arrived and was ready for the holiday, my wife opened the box and was immediately intrigued. We read the directions, and noted the included “test kit”. We ran a test with a finger and a paper cup, success! Time for the main event! We followed the included step by step instructions, we got to hold hands together for the 10 minutes or so that it takes to setup, and it was an activity we could do together and she loves the results! Very detailed results (down to finger prints and skin texture). Kit comes with everything you need, bucket, mixes (including test kit), sandpaper for touch up, and a nice plaque / stand to put your creation on.Tip, make sure you decide in advance how you want to hold hands (or position of whatever you wish to mold), then test in the empty bucket before starting so you can be sure you will be comfortable like that for 10 or so minutes!Very recommended gift!

Bucket is too small
Not too bad. Still need to do a lot of sanding. Some of the nails cracked off and a lot of excess needs to be removed from the crevasses. Not too bad for our first time. Going to let this cure for 5 days and hopefully I don't ruin it sanding it down.I recommend using Luke warm water for step one. It takes way too long for the mold to set otherwise.

Amazing!!!
This was an amazing product and it was very easy to do... We watched a quick video on YouTube and our first try was absolutely perfect... We never even did a test run first... I highly recommend....

Awesome!
This was such a fun craft. The bucket is a tad short (I had read several other reviews that said as such) but our molded hands came out wonderful. Please note: don't let your guy squeeze your hand too tight while it is hardening because it will be a little tricky to remove (take my advice 😉) Took about 10min to set and we let dry for 4hrs before removing the cast.

You'll need extra water for the mold. A lot of extra water. But it does work.
So for our first time. It did come out OK.but I can say. You're only suppose to use 300 ml of water. There's aeauring cup included. I had to use about 6 of those 300 ml cupsThere's no way one cup was enough. It didn't even moisture the powder.So. After I mixed it with extra water. We put our hands in. Honestly. We didn't think we were going to have any success.Your suppose to put your hands in after 90 seconds of mixing. I had to mix 2-3 minutes. But we put our hands in. Set an alarm for 6 minutes.6-10 minutes. After 6 minutes. My husband pried his hand from mine. Then I pulled my hand out. When I mixed the plaster I used my gloved hand. A lot easier than the spoons.Poured it in and waited four hours. Then we had to get it out. I couldn't so I sent my husband in. He got it out exactly how it said to.I peeled away the mold. Surprisingly not to hard.Rinsed it. Hubby is going to sand a few rough spots. I'm ordering some bronze craft paint and it should be nice.I have 3 stars because you need A LOT more water for the mold. But! It was fun and came out a lot better than I thought it would.
