Character Pieces in Romantic Style, Bk 3: 15 Short Piano Solos

I was thrilled last year to see Martha Mier had released a new series titled "Character Pieces in Romantic Style", as I've been an avid fan of all her other series composed in the romantic idiom: "Romantic Impressions" and "Romantic Sketches". I was super excited to see the third book in her latest series so pre-ordered immediately.The book contains short, lyrical pieces (no more than two pages each) and includes programmatic and imaginative titles. Book 3 is a little harder than the other two, but the pieces are well within the grasp of pianists of about grade 3 or 4 standards.While all the pieces are lovely, "Drifting Balloons", "A Joyous Occasion", and "Soliloquy" are especially pretty. Martha Mier never fails to create stimulating and beautiful pieces for pianists and I'd recommend this book to beginners and professionals alike.
